🚨 Online traffic to the entire European far-right collapsing after a successful Ukrainian attack on a Russian data centre feels like quite a big story.
One of these people works for a Chinese state-owned energy company. His campaign included a man accused of antisemitism, a former senior BNP official, a campaign organiser accused of racist posts who coordinated 8,000 leaflets, and another activist linked to a group founded by former BNP figures.
The other arrived in Britain as a six-year-old refugee. She volunteered for local charities, became a charity trustee and governor at two Camden schools, worked in local government, became a councillor, helped secure £670m for council housing, delivered a £30m retrofit of 3,000 council homes, backed projects tackling youth violence, and became council leader.
One was the Restore candidate who got 692 votes in the Holborn and St Pancras byelection, the other is the Labour candidate who got 12,292 votes.
Does anyone have any issues with that?

In all seriousness, it shows these people up. They confused brown people with asylum seekers. That says a lot about what happens if they ever get their ‘wish’ to stop asylum seekers - it doesn’t end there

🚨 What on earth is going on? Good grief!
Danny Tommo, surrounded by masked men outside the Daily Mail, has reportedly given the newspaper 48 HOURS to buy his mother a new house, threatening continuous protests “with everyone” until it does.
Whatever his grievance with the Mail, this is not how disputes in a democratic society should be conducted.
You don’t assemble masked men outside a newspaper and issue ultimatums demanding property.
After Dover. After Portsmouth. Now outside a national newspaper in London.
Journalists should be asking who is organising these groups, how they are being mobilised and where this is heading.
Political disagreement is legitimate. Peaceful protest is legitimate.
Intimidation is not.

Andy Burnham yesterday, before Robert Jenrick condemned a social care policy that doesn't yet exist:
"Please can we have a factual debate? Can we allow people to weigh up the different options… and then just come to a considered view based on those facts?
“I don’t think it should be too much to ask, because I think the public will give us their view. They’ll make it really clear what they feel they can accept and what they can’t.
“We won’t get to that point if there’s all of this stuff swirling around, and everyone frightened about everything. That just won’t get us there.”

CLUB STATEMENT
The club would like to address rumours circulating on social media regarding unacceptable behaviour following today’s game away to Seaham Red Star.
After a brief investigation, we can confirm that Billingham Town supporter Phil Smith has received a lifetime ban from the club and has been reported to the Northern League, The FA and Cleveland Police.
Although we are delighted to see Town win, and appreciate that celebrations can occasionally go a little too far, ordering a strawberry daiquiri in a pub, with the lads, on a matchday cannot—and will not—be tolerated.
Furthermore, to ensure the club does not encourage similar behaviour in future, lager tops will no longer be served in the clubhouse.
The club considers the matter closed.

Faith has played a massive part in the unity and togetherness of our squad at Palace over the last couple of years. I’m not religious at all myself but scenes like this have been heartwarming to see.
