Excited to share a book chapter co-authored with my colleague @WLangB. Drawing on nearly 20 years of teaching together, we explore how meaningful relationships foster academic risk-taking, rigour, and student success. emerald.com/books/edited-vol…

NEW: Ontario’s Health Ministry spent $13.3M on advertising last year, new FOI records show. That brings our tally of the Ford government's advertising spending to more than $90 million across five ministries. The health minister's office says advertising remains an "important tool" for informing families about programs & initiatives. Opposition says the government should be using that funding on life-saving treatments or relieving hospital pressures. thetrillium.ca/news/health/o…

For many Indigenous students, pursuing an education also means working roughly half the hours of a full-time job. The reasons point to a larger challenge. A 2024 study found that 86% of those working said they did so to cover necessary expenses, 47% to cover educational expenses, and 31% to support their families. Brandon Meawasige, COO of Indspire, argues that rising costs for housing, food, tuition, transportation, technology and childcare are creating additional pressure for students who should be able to focus on learning and preparing for their careers. For Canada, reducing those barriers has implications beyond education. Indigenous youth are an important part of the country’s future talent pipeline, including in fields facing growing demand for skilled workers. Investing in their success means investing in a stronger, more resilient Canadian workforce. The @FraserInstitute isn’t an objective "think tank"—it’s an ideological factory pushing right-wing agendas. When outlets like the @NationalPost or @TheTorontoSun use them as an unquestioned source, remember: it’s not neutral data, it’s a coordinated, foreign sponsored narrative.

Good points by Chris Glover… $3B will add 23M passengers at Pearson Billy Bishop will cost $5B to add 8M passengers And where’s the money going to come from? Pearson will self-finance through retained earnings There’s no way Billy Bishop’s $30M revenue can finance $5B
The cost to expand Billy Bishop Airport has now ballooned to $5 billion—and the math isn't mathing. #ONpoli
