@carlsmythe covid question ... explain what I’m missing here (seriously). Daily death rate in UK is about 1% population size. Not much off 1M have tested PCR +ve in last 28 days. Therefore should we not be seeing around 10k daily covid deaths (from usual death rate)?

I’m guessing it’s because most of the +ve PCR tests are from younger generations who would have a lower death rate ... but throws confusion over the whole metric really. How do you separate out natural death rate from covid death rate?

i’ve just coined the phrase “Fossil Recycling” You’re welcome. Now you have two problems 1. if you can’t identify what is a recycled and original fossil, the whole fossil record is a lie 2. if you can identify which are recycled, how come none have ever been identified??

i’ll tell you why ... fossils don’t recycle, because fossils don’t form except under specific mud flow conditions ie a catastrophic flood. And there hasn’t been enough time for the land to be eroded and significant numbers of fossils released to the sea.

How wrong you are. A 13000 year old wood sample (ideally requiring 100 mg of sample) would register about 100 disintegrations per HOUR. Are you aware what the background radiation level IS?

So, that isnt a remotely accurate analogy to evolution. The way the plane actually came to be, incremental changes, trial and error, keeping what works, is much more analogous to evolution.

Both Darwin and Gould recognized that the fossil record is not consistent with Darwin’s theory. Darwin hoped more fossils would be discovered. Gould proposed a whole new mechanism. Genetics is a more straightforward window into the truth about our origins. Sorry John.
