Today, the second episode of the @Arch_Afric space was held, where @treeonchain the Community and ecosystem growth was the guest.
Gave out a lot of alphas, educated the community on what @arch_prime is building and how they can be part of.
Some of the highlights are
1. Learn about Bitcoin and the technology behind BTC
2. Arch is making Bitcoin programmable by allowing smart contract execution on the ArchVM.
3. The Arch Ecosystem is builder-friendly and they are open to brilliant ideas that will support the ecosystem's growth.
4. For now the date for TGE is unknown, as the team is focused on going mainet any moment.
5. As of now the team hasn't decided if they are going to launch an InfoFi campaign yet.
6. Arch Africa is the number one community for the African community.
7. Stay bullish on Arch Africa by following all their socials for more updates on @arch_prime
8. The team will most likely prioritize mainnet users
9. For those that participated in the testnet, the team hasn't decided if there will be a reward for testers yet, but Discord roles could be used as multipliers in the future.

Been following Arch for a while and honestly this is their best look yet. The dark navy homepage with the orange typography and statue feels premium, like a big bank made it. The direction is right too, they've moved from BTC infrastructure to actually doing finance with BTC.

Why Native Bitcoin Matters
POV: First person plural, confident
We've said "native" all month. Here's why we don't let that word go soft.
Wrapped Bitcoin has a body count.
🚨Ronin - 624 million dollars
🚨Wormhole - 326 million
🚨Nomad - 190 million
🚨renBTC - wiped out when its backer collapsed alongside FTX.
🚨WBTC - itself had its custody quietly handed to a new entity in 2024, and MakerDAO responded by cutting its lending ratio to zero overnight.
Every one of those was somebody's "safe" wrapped Bitcoin, until it wasn't.
Native means your coin is one real output. Zero IOUs. Nobody holds a synthetic version of your Bitcoin while you hope the redemption process still works when you need it.
This isn't a feature we're proud of in the abstract. It's the reason we built this the hard way instead of the fast way.
P.S: An IOU (short for "I owe you") is an informal written document that acknowledges a debt and a promise to pay it back.

@Arch 's consensus sets the order of transactions.
It isn't decided by who pays the most.
A leader chosen by stake collects pending transactions and orders them first in, first out.
Each slot also has backup leaders in case the main one fails.

Here's the part I love.
A group of validators signs together, but Bitcoin only sees one normal signature.
@Arch 's threshold signatures are Taproot-native, so onchain they look like any single signer Schnorr transaction.
That means when collateral sits in a UTXO controlled by validators, you can check it yourself on Bitcoin.
No separate ledger. Nothing to take on trust.
