I published a new blog post explaining the steps I used to reverse engineer the original "Comanche: Maximum Overkill" terrain/map files. 🔗pikuma.com/blog/comanche-map… It seems like, lately, anything related to decompilation, reverse engineering, & other retro game stuff has AI written all over it. Even though I get it, it all feels as good as drinking water when I'm not thirsty. Not this time! I've literally decided to hide myself off-grid using only a 486 with no internet for this one. 10/10 would recommend! 😂

The only reasonable take I’ve seen so far
Breaking: Michael Burry says OpenAI and Anthropic are faking the AI warnings due to slow growth ahead of IPOs Below are his reasonings: 1. LLMs are not AI and won't be AGI. There is nothing AI to slow down. 2. Competition is coming up fast, slowing benefits incumbents. 3. IPOs need hype & puffery; "we are so awesome it could become dangerous" is hype & puffery 4. Cover for real uncontrollable slowing growth as IPOs look to be pushed out

I am now positive that anyone working in companies have been brainwashed. It’s a fucking word guessing machine, Jim. It will only kill people because you tell them to ask it for medical advice. These slop machines are not dangerous. People driving them are just total nutjobs.
Replying to @hilbertspaess
Do not underestimate the power of this technology. These will soon be superhuman systems that can hack anything, revolutionize any field overnight, and acquire real power and resources. We have all witnessed the progress in each of these domains, and progress is not slowing.

Look, is AI making our lives better? No. But is it making things less expensive? Unfortunately, the opposite. Now, is it making the internet a better place? More slop than ever, actually! But does it allow us to spend more time being creative? That's actually the thing it's best at stealing without shame. Though, surely it's making us smarter, right? You’ll never guess, but…

True. When I unconciously embarked in this OSS adventure I naively though users will be copying/forking my project and modifying it for their needs. Never expected to have to deal with certain requests and complains, for a product that is FREE! Getting tired... 😓
If anything, AI agents will finally likely formalise that open source maintainers are NOT obliged to review any contributions or pull requests or issues. Open source comes with the license that YOU can modify it (fork it and do it!) The last decade many ppl forgot about this

[2/2] Since I don't ever make this kind of video, I'm sure it could be done a lot better, but hopefully it gets the point across. I'd love it if people who specialize in this kind of video started looking at the broader issue. Here's the link: youtube.com/watch?v=tlQ7EoJD…
