Web2 gaming and Web3 gaming are solving two completely different problems.
Web2 games optimize for:
- fun
- immersion
- retention
The studio owns everything.
The players own nothing.
And honestly?
Most players are okay with that trade.
If the game is good enough, nobody cares who owns the sword.
But Web3 changes the relationship completely.
Now players can:
- own assets
- influence economies
- speculate
- govern
- build status beyond gameplay
The moment ownership enters gaming, the game stops being “just entertainment.”
It becomes social.
Economic.
Community-driven.
That’s why Web3 gaming feels chaotic sometimes.
You’re no longer balancing just casuals, grinders, and PvP players.
Now you’re balancing:
• traders
• whales
• creators
• investors
• speculators
• governance participants
All inside one ecosystem.
And the craziest part?
The world still doesn’t fully understand what a community-owned game even means.
Web3 gaming isn’t only trying to build better games.
It’s trying to redesign the relationship between players and virtual worlds.
That’s a way harder mission than people realize.
Great marketing can reduce the cost of growth
but it can't make growth completely free
after spending years in marketing, i have learned this the hard way.
founder wants the highest ROI with the lowest budget and yes, that's exactly what we should aim for
but sometimes I wonder…how low is too low?
because where money goes, attention follows
you can be extremely creative and run very efficient campaigns, but usually you need one of two things to get the initial push:
→ enough budget to create momentum
→ or a product people genuinely want to talk about
otherwise, you end up using incentives to buy attention.
and if you don't have enough funding for that either..
you're basically stuck in a loop.
no money → no attention → no users → no traction → no money
Marketing lesson you must understand: You need to spend money to make money.
This does not only apply for VC backed companies with huge budgets.
So often founders tell me "We're not spending money cause we have no users."
Brother, the reason you have no users is because you spend no money! You just wasted 2 years building a product that no one knows of.
You need to spend to make.
gm friends
yesterday was the first time in months that I did not post anything on X
the streak is broken, but let's go again.
gm friends..
Today i am coming to @voicecc space to represent @metaspace and have some cool conversations around web3.
See you there!🫡
The market may not care about your effort, but the people who believe in what you are building do. 💙
We are coming to @voicecc's Space today. Join us, let's have some cool conversations.

NOT ALL CREATORS ARE KOLs!
Instead of hiring 200 creators and blaming them for not converting, here is what i would do:
- Scout the top 5–10 KOLs in the NFT niche.
- Pay them well for their influence, credibility and reach.
- Get them talking about the project consistently 1–2 weeks before the mint.
- Build that initial buzz so smaller creators naturally start joining the conversation.
The problem starts with the campaign strategy itself.
You need to understand the difference between a creator and a KOL.
A creator can make content. A KOL can influence opinions, build trust and bring attention to your project.
And please, do not judge an account just by its follower count or Sorsa score.
Bot followers are real. Engagement groups are real. AI generated content with zero real influence is real.
Having tons of followers does not automatically mean people trust what they say.
As a project, it is your job to find the right accounts and spend your marketing budget wisely.
Because hiring more creators is not a campaign strategy.
Having the right people, at the right time, driving the right narrative is.
And even after all the right strategies project fails… because the product is shit.
Crypto Twitter KOLs are a fucking scam. And we have the numbers to prove why.
We hired 200+ KOLs with 10M+ combined followers. Every single one had a 400+ Sorsa score and 100+ Smart Followers. Most had 1,000+ Sorsa.
200+ KOLs posted twice each.
Our result? 280 NFTs sold at $5.
Now let’s talk about this circus.
Fake views. Fake likes. AI-generated replies that don’t even understand what the project does. The same fucking accounts liking and replying to each other in engagement groups, recycling engagement and pretending they’re influential.
You have 200K followers but can’t prove you have actual buyers. You’re scared of referral deals because deep down you know nobody will click your links, buy anything or convert.
YOU HAVE BOTTED FOLLOWERS, NOT INFLUENCE.
And the funniest part? You genuinely think you’re marketing professionals. You’re a bunch of engagement farmers playing influencer, selling fake numbers to projects and calling it a career.
Our team tested this firsthand. We were ready to pay for influence, but got fucking nothing.
And you wonder why CT is dying? Why projects are cutting deals? Why marketing teams are moving to TikTok and Instagram?
BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO PAY FOR YOUR BULLSHIT ANYMORE.
Honestly, go work at McDonald’s. At least you’ll serve people something useful instead of selling projects fake engagement and pretending to be important.

That’s your fucking influence.
It’s not the KOLs who scammed you, it’s your KOL manager..

I got 13 spam labels on my posts in September.
11 of them were related to giveaways, WL campaigns and mints.
After reviewing those posts, I noticed 4 patterns:
1. Heavy tagging
Flagged posts tagged 3 accounts on average, while a few winner announcements tagged as many as 8.
2. Repetitive engagement
Instructions like "Follow, drop your EVM, tag a friend" often lead to repetitive, low-value replies.
3. Referral links + urgency
Phrases like "Only 3 hours left, act fast" or "No mint = no allocation" alongside referral links.
4. Posting similar content too frequently
Sharing almost identical posts or replies multiple times within a short period.
Interestingly, one of my best performing posts was also a giveaway.
So, giveaways itself is not be the problem. It's more about how you structure the posts and drive engagement.
X did not specify why these posts received spam labels. These are my assumptions based on the pattern I noticed.
Bdw, have you checked your "Under the hood" report yet?
X might be limiting the reach of your posts without you even realising it.
And now, you can check exactly what visibility labels has been applied to your posts and account.
It is called "Under the Hood", and here is what you need to know.
The report has two important sections:
1/ Post Labels
Shows the labels applied to individual posts, what those labels mean and how they affect visibility.
Some labels can prevent your posts from reaching non-followers and eventually affecting the overall reach of that post.
2/ Account Labels
Account labels can affect the visibility of your overall account and multiple posts.
If it says "None in this period", no account labels were detected during that period.
A few things to remember:
- A post label does not mean your entire account is restricted.
- Account labels can have a much wider impact on reach.
- A clean report does not rule out every possible visibility or ranking issue.
So, if your reach has been unusually low lately, check your report and improvise your content game👇
I cannot agree more!
A lot of people talk about supporting builders on the TL, but their actions do not always reflect the same energy.
No wonder new builders eventually leave for ecosystems where they get better support, resources and opportunities to build products that make a difference.
We cannot keep talking about growing Web3 while making it harder for the people building it.

Under the Hood now shows you which posts received a visibility-limiting label, making it easier to see what’s affected: teapaw.org/i/jf/under_the_hood
This was a top request — thanks for the feedback.
You’ll see the specific posts listed when fewer than 5% of your posts during the report period have that label.
To everyone taking the time to read this.. thank you! ❤️
I have been part of @metaspace_verse for almost 1.5 years now, while the team has been building the game for over 4 years.
It has been a journey full of challenges, lessons and things that did not always go as planned.
But we are still here learning, improving and building a game people genuinely enjoy playing.
Every year around this time, @PlayToEarn hosts the Blockchain Game Awards, where Web3 games and creators compete across different categories.
Last year, MetaSpace secured 2nd place in Best Action Game. 🥈
This year, we are back with 4 nominations:
- Game of the Year
- Best Action Game
- Best Mobile Game
- Best Shooter Game
Building in Web3 gaming is not easy, and i am genuinely proud of how far we have come, knowing how much work goes into building a game from the ground up.
There are some amazing games competing this year, and they deserve recognition too.
But if you have ever played a Web3 game or genuinely want to see Web3 gaming grow, take a moment to explore the nominations and cast your votes.

You can also explore the other categories and vote for your favorite games and creators.
Thank you for your time and support. it genuinely means a lot! 🫶
Sometimes life gets overwhelming and you start worrying about what comes next..
but i have learned that not every bad day means your life is going in the wrong direction.
you have made it through tough days before. you will get through this one too.
take a breath, give yourself some time, and keep going. 🫂
gm friends..
i have noticed that raw thoughts sometimes perform better than well-scripted posts.
yesterday, i was swamped with work, dealing with brain fog and had zero content ideas.. so i just posted whatever was on my mind and closed the app.
surprisingly it got decent views as compared to my usual posts.
so maybe we need to stop overthinking and start being more real, honest and ourselves.
that’s what connects the most.
have a good day, fam! 🫶
9-5 frustrates the hell out of me sometimes..
but then i remember
there was a time i used to pray for days like this
no job, nothing to do, just waiting for some magic to happen
and then it did.. got a job, got a direction in life
now my days are so full i barely get a minute for anything outside work.. and sometimes it's frustrating too
but honestly, i have so much to be grateful for
we get so busy that we forget we're living the life we once dreamed of...
