I view launchpads as performative politics. They aren’t really necessary, but people deal with them because they have to. You might get some money back, but it’s not substantial and def doesn’t compensate for any trades in the eco. Feel free to disagree, that’s how I view it

I have a few thoughts about @LaunchOnPeak. Personally, it only caught my eye because I saw a bunch of chads like @wrld_sol @JLKHatesYou @DexGemsReal @yishanyugong and a few others mention it. I also saw names I recognized from Wojak, Giga, and those coins that ran up in 23/24.

They also have: - The Oath: Holders can pledge to hold a coin. If they break the pledge the wallet becomes blacklisted from rewards. - Callers: Bad calls reflect with strikes, as well as good calls. - Diamond hands: Stats reflect the # of holders who held during dips

Overall, this is the type of eco that I can get behind. The team is anon, so there is risk. But they have executed so far and got the attention of many on CT.

Seems that @LaunchOnPeak is cultivating an environment where users and holders matter. They are listening to some of the top holders from 23/24 and are implementing incredibly fast. $PEAK is the eco token that benefits from the fair launches on Peak pad. Too good to be true?

Piggybacking off of @ponzibaron criticism's of launchpad's wasting money by burning their token and effectively taking a ton of money out of our ecosystem, i have a spitball idea for what I would want a launchpad to do with the fees we give them. The whole point of the launchpad would be to give back to the eco participants isn't of wasting the fees on burns or giving nothing back. 1. Give an APY to holders of big eco coins and on cash balances held in launchpad native wallet. Coins could fit into different tiers where the APY increases based on getting in a better tier. This is taking holder rewards to the next level. Earn for holding on not just your coin fees but all coin fees. This would have an insane snowball effect. Fees wouldn't be much at first but early adopters that are whales for the main eco runners would be compensated to hold and encouraged to put their returns into new ecosystem coins. 2. Use share fees to reward good devs. The guidelines would have to be clearly spelled out but if good devs are getting rewarded for deploying on a launchpad, the good devs would go to said launchpad to deploy, and market participants would have more trust in buying and holding coins from a launchpad that encourages good devs. Things like re-routing dev fees to the liquidity pool. Social media presence. Average holder times. etc. Bring back the creative minds that made coins fun. Launchpads should be crafted to help the larger ecosystem instead of benefitting from the larger ecosystem like pump, stonk, pons are. Stop burning our liquidity. Stop shrinking the pond.

You have Microduck, which is paired to Nvidia at 7.6 mill mcap. You have Ubik, which is paired to Gold at 6.8 mill mcap. You have Mushroom paired to Micron sitting at 4.4 mill mcap. And Optimus, paired to Tesla sitting at 2.6 mill mcap. Mafia paired to Paypal could be smt.

If I can chime in here. Pumpfun was doing fine before all their stupid updates and false promises over a year and a half ago. It’s actually mind blowing how much they want the average trader to lose, and it’s not “fake news” for me to say this. They don’t care about you or any coin your in. They care about fees, more rotations, more coins, and them being able to manipulate every aspect of all of it with their low iq army of scumbags.
Nov 20th, 2024 I was so fucking clueless, started buying stuff on coinbase and the first onchain trades I made were on coinbase wallet 😂 I put 700 bucks into chillguy, I remember looking at my wallet and being in disbelief, i just held all the way to ~500m ish the thing that excited me about onchain was the idea of identifying a meme that I recognized and enjoyed, buying it, and holding it for much higher. There is nothing more electric than green candles It wasn’t about who bought, or who had fees, etc I was also incredibly jealous of people who had secured sizable positions in the crypto culture coins of that era. Watching a group of people collectively bullpost and hold coins to crazy prices was so intriguing to me & i thought it was awesome simply put I never once desired to be online everyday and trade a million coins, and I still don’t. It’s incredible how the majority of people now clown bag holding when its one of the things that made this space awesome.

Pumpfun has officially lost the plot. I'm not sure what their endgame is here, but I know for a fact that nobody is going to read “Be the next Kimchi” and suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to sign up for Pumpfun and start buying shitters. I never thought we'd reach the point where this needs explaining, but absolutely nobody outside CT knows who Kimchi is. And a good chunk of CT knows that the whole “made $40M trading Trump” story is straight up larp and what he was actually doing, was deploying and rugging coins 24/7. The fact that, out of every ace this multibillion-dollar company could have up its sleeve, they chose to make Kimchi their poster boy speaks volumes about how out of touch they are with the space, the community that made them what they are, and the outside world as a whole. I'm telling you, there isn't a single normal adult who wakes up in the morning wanting to “trade internet trends.” Not a single one. Because what the fuck does trading internet trends even mean? These guys made their bread from memecoins, and whatever name they built for themselves in this industry was a direct consequence of coins that actually went somewhere. Pumpfun wouldn't have taken off the way it did without Sharkcat, and it wouldn't have captured the market share it did during AI season without GOAT and Fartcoin launching there. People buying “internet trends” with a lifespan of 24 hours, only to get thrown into endless PvP against increasingly sophisticated players across a dozen different pairs, is precisely why Pumpfun struggles to break into the mainstream and onboard retail that actually STAYS. And these absolute idiots have somehow decided to make that their entire selling point. You genuinely couldn't make this shit up. The average person Pumpfun is supposedly trying to onboard is drowning in bills, trying to make ends meet, and navigating a society that's becoming increasingly isolated. He doesn't give a fuck about speculating on internet trends. He probably doesn't even recognize most of them. What he wants, whether he realizes it or not, is to feel like he belongs somewhere. A place where he can make internet friends who share his humor, aesthetics, and beliefs. Somewhere he can log in after a shitty day, talk shit with like-minded people, and actually feel like he's part of something. A fucking community. And the funny thing is that memecoins, of all things, can genuinely provide that. I think people massively underestimate how many guys are sitting at their desks right now, aimlessly scrolling the internet, who would happily spend money to be part of an online community where they can make friends, share jokes, and rally behind something together. Take NEET, for example. I'm convinced that if you explained the whole “not open to work” movement to a thousand normies, a surprisingly large percentage would find the idea of joining a global community of people who share that attitude genuinely appealing. Now imagine telling them there's also a coin attached to that movement, and that if enough people rally behind it, they can potentially make money together. That's a much easier sell than asking them to gamble on whichever celebrity happened to tweet something stupid fifteen minutes ago. And it's not just NEET. Think of all the internet subcultures, recognizable characters, aesthetics, and movements that people can actually identify with. Things that give someone a reason to hold a coin, talk about it, make content around it, and bring their friends into it without needing a new catalyst every six hours. That's how you build something that lasts. Instead of building their campaign around any of that, Pumpfun decided to spend millions telling people they could become the next Kimchi, a complete nobody to the audience they're supposedly trying to attract, and inviting them to gamble on internet trends. They actually spent millions of dollars on this stunt. It's genuinely incredible how disconnected they've become from reality, their own customer base, and seemingly basic common sense. My father used to always tell me to never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity. And I'd genuinely love to attribute Pumpfun's incompetence to stupidity, but that's not the case here. They've made hundreds of millions from coins that people actually wanted to own. Coins that went to hundreds of millions in market cap, made entire communities rich, and brought thousands of new people into the ecosystem. They know this model works because it's the very model that made them rich. But if having everyone PvP the same Elon tweet through twelve different pairings and launch modes means they can squeeze another 10% out of trading fees, I'm increasingly convinced they'll happily sacrifice everything else to get it. And at this point, it's becoming pretty difficult to pretend otherwise. I think there are fatigue signals everywhere, and every day we're getting a little closer to the end of the Pumpfun dynasty despite a bunch of terminal badges trying day and night to convince you otherwise. Someone will eventually build a place where people actually want to stay, where communities are worth more than the fees generated from destroying them. And when that happens, I genuinely don't think Pumpfun will understand why everyone left.

its gotten to the point where I force myself to believe these are troll posts
people hate on proxima (and most bundlers) but without them, there wouldn’t be a single good tech coin and a lot of missed opportunities for hella traders again, i’m a dev myself i respect some dev like i don’t respect some other devs if you don’t nuke your coin to 0, hold your bundle and push as a good dev / at least try your best to get your coin to go somewhere, then it’s chill if you rug your coin to 0 first 2 minutes because you’re up 800$, then kiss yourself and devving is a skill, finding good projects to do, understanding the meta, understanding the ceiling of your own coin, understanding when to sell / when not to sell, how to get eyes on your product etc.. it’s not easy // it’s even harder and harder with time (since more people are getting into devving, but the difference is obvious between a good and bad dev on chain and you see it the first minutes a project spawns) so the truth is if you see a 6-7 figs pnl its most likely real and some of you traders need to understand that bundling doesn’t mean it’s bad, just depends who’s holding the bundle basically

The number 10 guy all time in profit on fomo CTO’d a coin and it is under 800k. That same guy also worked on the biggest EIP upgrade for eth right along @VitalikButerin himself. The coin isn’t some random coin either it is an Easter egg hidden on a @Uniswap website. A mascot of a coin sitting at 5 billion marketcap. That same guy who worked on the @ethereum upgrade is making NFT’s and a game for this project @LilUni_Coin 100k fomo followers, 200k x followers, over 10 years in crypto, and experience working on eth upgrades himself. People with a resume like @econoar don’t cto coins often. So you best pay attention when it happens. Can you see value before the pump or do you need a green candle to tell you its value?? liluni:native
