it is fucking crazy to me that people actually buy things off Temu. like are you insane? it’s the shopping equivalent of letting curiosity get the better of you and trying a spoonful of your dog’s wet food

will never forget the Q&A I went to where someone asked Mamoru Hosoda 'what's your favourite anime'
one time someone asked Masaaki Yuasa (mind you this took several minutes due to live translation) if he would ever make “something with flying cars”

Government ramming through its social media ban for under 16s (with help from the opposition) requiring all Australians to verify their age or identity to access social media. Concerned? You should be. Because Aussies are given only 24 hours to voice their concerns! Shameful

when I moved into my current townhouse complex there were body corp rules banning laundry visible from 'the street' or 'inside the complex'. was thrilled to see everyone hanging their laundry visibly in the shared courtyard anyway and not dobbing because that's fucking stupid

Excited to go see boonta vista live this weekend directly after moving house. I can't wait to bring a sort of shattered delirium to the vibe of the audience

pretty sure I'm responsible for the proliferation of 'doctor who object, but it's a dress' cosplays and official merch
What's something in the world you know you're directly responsible for but if you were to claim credit you'd sound crazy?

Remembering when I saw Fury Road and I had a costume party coming up and I just went into a fugue state and made a furiosa costume as fast as humanly possible. It was a bit too soon after the movie's release and barely anyone knew who I was 🚚💨

I have dropped adobe like a rock, and rather than worrying about converting my old XD files to figma I used web to figma to get the actual website into figma... it worked way better than expected, wow!! Get wrecked, adobe, so happy to never have to use XD again

It threw me, but also made a lot of things click, when I realised 'game developers' as people colloquially use it means EVERYONE who worked on a game. As a FE web dev, I always thought 'develoeprs' just specifically referred to programmers/software developers.
It’s been 25 years since Super Smash Bros. 64 was released! Did you know computer programmers make up the highest proportion of digital game developers? 💥🎮

Like, in my job, we'd never refer to someone who worked on a web project in the context of UI/UX design, strategy, content development etc a 'developer'. Interesting how terminology changes per industry

I guess I was vaguely aware of this usage but it didn't get cemented for me until I referred to someone on a game team the wrong way and got strongly corrected, haha.
