“If we can forgive what’s been done to us… If we can forgive what we’ve done to others… If we can leave our stories behind. Our being victims and villains. Only then can we maybe rescue the world.” - Chuck Palahniuk via @tferriss

Navy Corpsman Jajuan Hernandez was the only U.S. medic on the scene when a drone hit a base in Iraq. Seven French soldiers were critically hurt.
Jajuan ran straight toward the fire as ammunition kept going off. And he said Jajuan saved six lives. Jajuan said he heard a loud buzzing that night. Then a big explosion went off about 80 feet away.
Other troops went into the bunker. But Jajuan stayed outside. He knew they would call his name if anyone got hurt. And when the call came, he ran to the blast site and found seven soldiers on the ground. He started IVs, put on tourniquets and sealed chest wounds. There was a language barrier too. So he pointed and held up gear to show what he needed. Sadly, one French soldier, Arnaud Frion, did not survive.

Let me be blunt. Those who are afraid of AI feel deep down that they are impostors & have no edge. If you have a 1) clear mind, 2) a deep, not just cosmetic, undertanding of your specialty, 3) and/or are original enough to reinvent yourself when needed, AI will be your friend.
What if you could turn everyone’s computer and gaming console into a decentralized data center using capacity when it wasn’t in use.

I wish I knew enough about fashion to make fun of public servants I don’t like based on their sartorial choices but I just have to watch @dieworkwear do it to people he doesn’t like in the most passive aggressive way.
The architects of the world’s greatest immigration system?
John Diefenbaker and Ellen Fairclough. She was the first woman to hold a cabinet position in Canada.
They replaced a racist policy with the points system. Points for speaking English. Points for education. Points for professional certification.
Conservatives did this. #Canada
Diefenbaker represented the best that Saskatchewan had to offer.
He had an outsider’s perspective.
And he stood up to JFK under tremendous pressure.
He doesn’t get any credit for what he did, but he was a great Canadian. #Canada
The pushback on AI and data centers is the manifestation of the inequality of income and opportunity.
