In Libero Mureddu's Sonic Avatars, four instrumental performers react to video recordings of their own playing, improvising their responses. These recordings — controlled by an additional four people, out of sight — skip and jump, slow down and speed up.
We worked with Libero to design and create machine-driven variations, avatars whose speed is determined by the timings of other musicians, and whose visuals are overlaid to demonstrate their influence. liberomureddu.com/sonicavata…

Minimoog Factory is a web experience celebrating the 70th anniversary of the legendary synthesizer from @moogmusicinc. In 2023 we worked with @yurisuzuki, his team @pentagram and @robpybus1 to showcase the rich history of electronic music through the lens of the Minimoog Model D.

We worked with @yurisuzuki on Sound of the Earth: Chapter 3, a sound installation that makes connections between user-submitted sounds from all over the world, using machine learning.

The project culminated in a physical installation, premiering at the 23rd @triennalemilano. A 4m sphere with 300 speakers, it generated an evolving soundscape of user-submitted audio, using machine learning to pair similar sounds from diverse locations around the world.
