My good friend Chris Tullbane has his new book out. I highly recommend this series and this book - If you like urban fantasy, fantasy or just entertaining silliness this is for you. Chris has several series out and I've yet to read anything of his that isn't stellar - support an Indie author and please retweet this! a.co/d/00DO1w19

My Jerry Lewis story made me question the BBC for the rest of my career. As a student, I did work experience on a show investigating dodgy hypnotists. I travelled with two female BBC producers to Blackpool to interview a victim (you don’t want to know). At the hotel, a man was walking out as I walked in. We both held the door and stared at each other. “After you,” I said. “No, after you, young man”, he replied. I smiled, thanked him, and we passed. I turned to the producers: “Do you know who that was?” “Nope,” one said, in a tone suggesting I shouldn’t be making eye contact, let alone talking. “That was Jerry Lewis.” They stared. “Who?” “Jerry Lewis. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis?” More staring. “Never heard of him.” “You’ve never heard of Jerry Lewis?” Internally, I was furious. Externally, I was still trying to get a job in TV. “Is he someone we’re interviewing?” one asked. “No.” “Then I’m not interested,” she snapped. “Put the gear over there.” What struck me wasn’t Jerry Lewis being in Blackpool (I found out later that he was filming Funny Bones). It was that these two women were producers with almost no knowledge of entertainment history, TV or film. I know this because I spent the rest of the week asking them very easy questions they couldn't or wouldn't answer. Yet they’re the people who decide what YOU should watch and what YOU’LL find interesting. After 25 years of being stuck in tiny edit suites with people like this (and honestly, it’s the norm), I could write a book about idiotic TV decision-makers who think they’re the smartest in the room and make choices based on what they assume YOUR intelligence level is.

Sooners had this game won. This staff has consistently made decisions tonight that you have to question. The fake field goal from the 10. You're trying to play a defense oriented game and make a decision to take a chance on a low percentage of success type play with a guy throwing the ball that just panics. Then you are driving the field, trying to burn down the clock and decide to chuck the ball at the end zone from the 40. This should have been 16-7 at that point, instead it was 14-13 shortly later. The players had a few miscues such as the dropped balls, but good grief the coaches fumbled this regardless of the outcome.

Ok I'm just gonna say Boomer I will freely admit I didn't believe this could happen today no matter what we say about throwing the records out. This... This is special

This doesn't look like the same guy that in Summer League wasn't able to move. This guy looks athletic and like he actually likes playing ball. In Summer League, he looked tired every time he took the floor. If Mara can be in the right places and not be a traffic cone if he's more than 15 feet out, he'll be a really big pick up for the Thunder.
Mara highlights for your halftime viewing pleasure 📺

Hey @grok if I understand correctly SpaceX just launched 3 missions in a day including a manned flight. That seems incredible. Has anything like that ever been done? Is this silencing SpaceX critics? If not, it sure should!

What bothers me with Sooners the past few years is they're not even competent. They can't line up and snap the ball. They don't consistently have an identity. This team has players now. They got guys that are really solid, but they aren't prepared to compete

The audiobook for Godswar is finally here! The sixth book in my comedic urban fantasy series, The Many Travails of John Smith, sees John investigating the death of a local demigod... only to find out that there's a whole lot more at stake. Audible: audible.com/pd/Godswar-Audio…

There needs to be an immediate investigation into who all sold their stocks last week. Which members of congress dumped their NVDA AVGO etc. Who sold off their AI holdings? Because once you see that, you can't unsee it

Texting and social media have already impacted the English language. We say abbreviations out loud - When was last time you said W T F or heard someone say OMG! I predict AI will train us to speak more "AI Friendly". Be more token efficient. What are some ways AI will impact language? We may see more precision in our speech. Instead of using vague references, we may begin to be more exact in our conversations - because we get better results with AI we may interact that way with each other. What are some examples? What do you see happening? Any changes you're hearing now?

Let it sit and watch it beat the markets these next ten years. Money for over 5,000 years and now more relevant than ever for industry — high-end compute, solar energy and robotics.

I think everyone should have two time horizons. first is forever, that’s IRA, Roth, your self fitected 401(k), etc., you hold either SPY or a couple of core positions like Google, NVDA , a couple of riskier plays like Tesla pltr, and a couple of smaller crazier positions like nbis, I guess you could do something more calm like Sofi, forget your password to these accounts, and in your actively managed swing trading portfolio your time horizon should be whatever the market decides, you shouldn’t argue with the market, the stock stopped going up, tou sell, the stock has a breakout, you buy,

From now on, when the copy-and-paste robot sheeple cult repeats the phrase “Justice for Nolan,” ask them to define justice. Normally, they can’t. Because to them, “justice” means threatening the falsely accused until innocent people are harmed or defamed. Justice is not the same thing as getting the outcome you emotionally and irrationally want. Justice follows the truth. It doesn’t require the truth to conform to the outcome someone wanted. They will never, ever understand this. And don’t let them retreat to “their truth,” either. There is only the truth. Everything else is narrative, opinion, speculation, or misinformation. Do it. Challenge them. They’re not prepared for this conversation.
