Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify.
It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine.
We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there.
Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day.
Who cares, tiny market.
But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one.
Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people.
My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner.
We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier.
We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly.
The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.
This round also welcomes @justinmateen to our board of directors. Justin is a wonderful person and razor sharp investor. He has singlehandedly introduced us to 100s of the highest quality people on the planet. He joins myself, @paoloardoino, @jawedkarim, @czoub3, and a few other institutional investors.
I would like to specifically mention how much we appreciate our other institutional investors β in order of when they invested: @peterthiel @insightpartners, A*, @SignalFire, @BCV, and @tether
More soon.

Update on Whop Ecommerce
Since launching Whop for Ecommerce on October 1st, 100s of businesses from Squarespace, CheckoutChamp, BigCommerce, and more have reached out wanting to migrate to Whop.
> We now have multiple brands doing $300k+/day and 100s of live, happy stores accepting payments, using Whop Websites, and running their Ecommerce brands end-to-end with us.
> Across the board, businesses tell us their site CVR, checkout CVR, auth rates (including MIT rebills), and blended payment costs are meaningfully better than anything theyβve used before.
> We can pixel-perfect clone a store as complex as 7 upsells/downsells and migrate it to Whop with payments & ads in under 30 minutes, then have it live with traffic in under an hour.
> We have live integrations with Blotout, Redtrack, Parcel Panel, Aimerce, and just about every tracking software or supplier.
All to say, Iβm incredibly proud of our team for helping a new generation of entrepreneurs launch and scale brands, and the beginnings of Whopβs Ecommerce division are looking very promising π€

1) April 1st I started building residuals through the Whop partnership.
Here is the breakdown of where we are at with it...
Sept: added $80K/month
Avg growth: 34.6% MoM
Now (October): $3,571/day β $100K/month β $1.2M/year
Goal: $250k/month in residuals by January 1st
2) I run a CRM / RevOps / HubSpot company AKA heavy fulfillment services. Six months ago: ~15% margins, LTV that mostly ended when the project or our retainer did.
Today: 30%+ margins, LTV has doubled and is still climbing - compared to the same clients, same delivery, same pricing, and same service before we partnered with whop.
Thanks Whop
3) If you run a similar company in the 2-10 million per year range. I have a simple question for you...
When's the last time you made a rapidly scaling revenue line in your business, that was in perpetuity, on something you didn't have to fulfill - that also was a massive benefit to your clients?
If you run a similar business to me go to the comments and keep reading.
