Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been charged with torturing political opponents and American citizens to cling to power.
The ousted Venezuelan leader and Cilia Flores are in US detention already facing drug trafficking and firearms charges, with a trial expected next year.
A court filing unsealed on Thursday shows both are now additionally charged with conspiracy to commit torture during the socialist’s 13 years in power⤵️

Reminder that Mearsheimer is one of the main Western pro-russian frauds that promotes the whole "Realpolitik/Multipolarism" slopaganda agenda.
These people really think that repeating & rehashing the same subversive illiberal nonsense, over and over again, is really gonna change anything about history, objective reality, and the truth about the conflict – they're not, and Ukrainians, NAFO, & other supporters of Ukraine will fight all this garbage and propaganda forever.
Here are some very wise words by Volodymyr Yermolenko that perfectly summarize the major flaws of Realpolitik/Multipolarist narratives:
"The problem with much of the Western realpolitik analysis that accuses Ukrainians of being naïve, idealistic, and unrealistic is that it is itself profoundly naïve and unrealistic. It assumes that “realism” means cynicism: abandoning values and seeking compromises with Russia. Yet this is precisely the approach that has repeatedly proved naïve, unrealistic, and ultimately self-defeating, because it has only encouraged further Russian aggression. Time and again, it has been the supposedly “naïve idealists” — the Ukrainians — who have been right. They warned that Russia’s war against Georgia in 2008 was only a prelude. They argued that the annexation of Crimea in 2014 would inevitably lead to a much larger war. They insisted that Russia is far more vulnerable and weaker than many in the West assumed, that it has numerous pressure points, and that it can be defeated. They also argued that increasing the sense of discomfort within Russia itself would undermine the imperial myth of “stability through expansion” on which Putinism depends. Yet despite the fact that these Ukrainian assessments have repeatedly been vindicated by events, this pseudo-realpolitik mindset continues to dominate many Western policy circles. It is not realism at all. It is naïve infantilism."

Tucker Carlson's favourite "political scientist", John Mearsheimer, and his ATROCIOUS predictions on the war in Ukraine:
Feb. 2022: "I don't think Russia is going to invade."
Sep. 2023: "The Ukrainians are doomed to lose."
Jan. 2024: "It's ridiculous to think Ukraine can hold the line in 2024."
Apr. 2025: "It's unimaginable Ukraine will hang on beyond 2025."
Jul. 2026: "The Russians are slowly moving forward."

Pavel Ivanov: “Are you insisting on the radical position that things will only get better after Putin is gone?”
Krasnov: “Are there any other options? Can you imagine Putin suddenly making a sensible decision?”
Alexander Krasnov is a Russian politician and Chairman of the Party of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia.
Pavel Ivanov is a popular Russian blogger who recently fled to Serbia.

🇬🇧UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband confronted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting, accusing Moscow of having no intention of ending its war against Ukraine and warning that Russia would not win.
“We all know who the aggressor is in this war. Just yesterday, Russian drones attacked and killed 15 people at a railway station in Dnipro. And there are countless examples of you killing innocent civilians throughout this entire war. We all know that you are the aggressor,” Miliband said, according to Sky News.
He added that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had expected to win the war quickly but had underestimated Ukraine’s resistance and international support.
“Putin thought he would win this war easily. But you will not win this war. Thanks to the courage of the Ukrainian people and the solidarity of the nations represented at this table, you will not win,” Miliband said.
He urged Lavrov to acknowledge that Russia could not achieve victory and convey that message to Putin.
Following the meeting, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Lavrov had made numerous false and distorted statements but showed no willingness to engage in peace negotiations.
“Even if the Russians claim otherwise in words, their actions suggest otherwise. Russia must prove through its actions that it is ready for negotiations,” Kallas told AFP.
Asked why she had not taken a joint photo with Lavrov, Kallas replied: “We must not normalize war crimes at this table.”

The Ukrainian national team will be excluded from the 2027 World Hockey Championship to allow Russia to participate, according to the International Ice Hockey Federation.
In 2022, the federation approved a mechanism whereby Russia should return to the elite division in place of the team that finishes second in the first division and is promoted to the elite level.
This year, Ukraine became the first team in 20 years to achieve this. Now, the Ukrainian team will be removed, and Russia will take its place.

October 29. A Halloween celebration on the South Lawn of the White House. Trump and his wife hand out candy to children in costumes. One pair of siblings, in particular, drew attention: the boy was wearing a Russian camouflage uniform and a peaked cap with a red star, while the girl wore a *sarafan* (traditional dress) and a *kokoshnik* (traditional headdress).
As it turned out, these were the children of Stephen Miller—the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and an advisor on domestic security.
This means that the U.S. stance on the war in Ukraine is not determined solely by Trump’s tender and deep-seated affection for Putin. Pretty much everyone in that administration is of the same mold. In high-level politics, there are no coincidences; the fact that a government official and advisor to Trump would dress his children in such costumes and bring them before the cameras to meet the presidential couple is a clear signal.
