Replying to @arc
@Arc showed the world a browser could be beautiful, calm, and opinionated. We owe them a lot. To every Arc user looking for a new home: Phi feels familiar, and one toggle turns off every AI feature. Built for humans, ready for agents
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026. That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community. Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward. We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how: · Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly. · Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact. · Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security. · The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional. Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Arc shuts down on Dec 22. I wasn’t ready to let it go, so I rebuilt it. Spaces, pinned tabs, Peek, Little Arc, Split View, nested folders. Native Mac app, free. AI stays out of the way until you ask. Your whole Arc setup comes over in one click.

Introducing Ardia, the open-source Arc I've been working on this for a few months now. It's feature-complete, already used by a bunch of former Arc users, and extremely performant. github.com/mantrakp04/ardia

Open-source it? Let the community have it? People clearly liked it, people also clearly want it. Do the right thing for once.

This is great work, and it's also possible because Delhi makes its GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) data publicly available, unlike some other city transport agencies that aren’t willing to share it. The most interesting aspect I found was how DEVI (Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector) buses are being deployed and the routes they operate on. These 9-metre buses mostly act as feeder services, connecting residential areas to metro stations, while also providing intra-zonal connectivity. Their routes are generally shorter and often operate in loops. However, some are temporarily operating on longer routes to replace old diesel buses until new 12-metre electric buses are added to the network. The transport department has teamed up with IIT Delhi to rationalise these routes, improve capacity by deploying larger buses where demand is higher, and move DEVI buses to lower-demand routes.
Delhi has a really good bus system that gets stuck with car traffic on unfairly shared roads. maps.reclaimchennai.city/del…
