We talk about how streaming can't replicate the unique experience of a live concert, where a room full of people choose to be present together, sharing silence and collective inwardness. • #LiveMusic #ConcertExperience #Unstreamable #SharedMoments #NewEnlightenment

This matters

A wonderful evening at the London Gala Premiere of The Yellow Tie. I’ve admired Sergiu Celibidache since I was very young. A fascinating film and a remarkable musical legacy. 🎶 @davebennettagency @theyellowtie_movie #NewEnlightenment #ConcertPianist

We talk about the magical loop that happens between a performer and audience during a truly working concert, where mutual concentration and understanding occur without words, creating a shared experience that feeds off each other.

I talk about how the audience is not passive but actively shapes the music being played, with the quality of listening in a room physically affecting the performance and opening up something a musician can't access alone.

Something new is beginning. 🎹 I’m excited to be embarking on a new recording project — with lots of music, practice, preparation and some wonderful journeys ahead. A little glimpse behind the scenes from the album cover shoot, with thanks to @SteinwayAndSons @SteinwayHallUK

I talk about how listening to music can create a personal, inward space that quiets the outside world and distractions, offering a place for your attention to go without requiring an empty mind.

Classical music isn't a relic. It's a living conversation between everyone who has ever played it, heard it, and felt something they couldn't name.

The pieces that changed how I hear everything weren't the ones I expected. They arrived quietly. And stayed.

Last month, honoured to play Mozart at the Austrian Ambassador’s Residence for the unveiling of @EnglishHeritage Blue Plaque of Stefan Zweig. @austriainuk A connection with @SkyTV doc Mozart: Genius for Hire and seeing Mozart’s manuscripts from his collection at @RCMLondon

Listening is not passive. It's one of the most active things a human being can do.

An evening after some lovely news. • 📷@realjonkey #NewEnlightenment #ConcertPianist #LifeLately #LondonLife #EveningMoments

I talk about a strange phenomenon that occurs with music when it goes very deep. an interior stillness that quiets everything except the present moment. is happening. #Music #Silence #DeepListening #MusicalExperience #Stillness #NewEnlightenment @SteinwayHallUK

The moment a piece stops being practice and becomes music — that's what I live for. You feel it before you understand it.

Classical music was always for everyone. We just forgot to say so.

Some pieces take years to understand. Not because they're complicated — because you weren't ready for what they were saying.
