“A death sentence means that the person sentenced will (definitely) die” is a stupid argument even on the surface. Less than 20% of death sentences end in execution due to long appeal processes, so even by the absurdly literal semantic standards being applied to what is clearly a hyperbolic, simile-based statement, you’re still wrong. And foolish.

I think this point is moot, we are social beings who subconsciously adhere to social contracts in every relationship.
