RUSSIA’S INTELLIGENCE TRAIL IN HUNGARY A CYBINT investigation by InformNapalm and Ukrainian Militant links people involved in Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, the SVR, to preparations for public rallies in Budapest backing the Paks-2 nuclear plant. Rosatom, Russia’s state nuclear corporation, is involved in building the project. THE FILES The investigation draws on data obtained by the hacktivist group @256CyberAssault: documents, personal and work correspondence, photographs and other files connected to SVR personnel. Analysis of that archive traced links between people tied to Russian foreign intelligence and the planning of pro-Paks-2 public actions. The operation's purpose is to organize support in Hungary for a Russian state-backed nuclear project with an SVR-linked trail behind it.
