Noor's buff hurt some teams more than others; CAG by VARREL were one of the victims of the latest patch, as seen in today's match against Dplus KIA. I am not sure if it's fair to put all of the blame on the changes, though. Round 4: Levy (Noor) gets first kill within 30 secs in the round, gets rid of Kali. 4v5 by 2:30. Round 5 on Fortress: DD (Montagne with defuser) drops by himself. Gets killed immediately after. Leaves CAG by VARREL in a 4v5. We saw a lot of situations that are early mistakes by CAG by VARREL. Sure, Noor's buff surely made it harder... but I wouldn't put the whole blame there.

Today's Dplus KIA's victory against CAG by VARREL has turned APAC's worst scenario into reality. Unless Sharper Esports or Dplus KIA build some miraculous runs in Osaka, APAC will likely have just three teams at the Six Invitational 2027.

Is history about to repeat iself? In Oct. 2019, Aerowolf and Wildcard stopped both PET Nora-Rengo and CYCLOPS from qualifying for the first and so far only international Siege event held in Japan. Seven years later, Dplus KIA (πŸ‡§πŸ‡·) will play against either SCARZ or CAG by VARREL as only the winner will be at the BLAST R6 Major Osaka.

The Blue Cavalry (16th, 1,000 SI Points) is right below FURIA (15th, 1,030 SI Points). Neither the Black Panthers nor Twisted Minds (12th, 1,365 SI Points) qualified for Osaka. This means their chances of reaching the upcoming Six Invitational are limited; their future is not in their hands. Each Swiss Stage match win will give TLA an extra 150 SI Points, plus an extra 100 for reaching the playoffs. This means: - One win will be enough to overtake FURIA and sneak in the Top 15. - Qualifying for the playoffs would give the Brazilians an extra 550 SI Points, surely putting them ahead of FURIA and Twisted Minds with 1,550 SI Points. Depending on All Gamers and EDward Gaming's results in both the final CN League 2026 Stage 2 matches and Osaka, as well as LOS and CAG by VARREL's performances, who could also add more SI Points to their tallies, a TLA Top 8 finish in Osaka would 100% see them above FURIA and Twisted Minds by the end of the Major. Mathematically speaking, a Top 8 finish wouldn't be enough for the Blue Cavalry. Their chances will change depending on M80, Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Fluxo W7M or Geekay Esports, among other teams. This being said, I think reaching the playoffs should be enough for Team Liquid Alienware to qualify for the Six Invitational 2027 through the Global Standings. The team would be obligued to reach the Top 4 if a series of major upsets happen in Osaka, which are unlikely, such as Chinese teams reaching the playoffs, multiple teams below them performing above expectations, etc.
