It looks like the Green Party has flipped a state legislative seat in Hawaii! It comes in #HD14, a Harris+16 seat covering the Lahaina area.
Pāʻele Kiakona was a major activist during the wildfires there and won major union support for his campaign. He beat a Democrat and the Democrat-turned-Republican incumbent (who only got less than 20% of the vote)

Florida is sooo close. I don’t think people realize how much organizing and grassroots
work has been going on in FL. Too many black and queer and disabled folks risking their lives for people to act like “abandoning” the state is a viable or fair solution.

Angie ran an incredible race and proved that when you present a clear vision for working people (even in swing states!), you can build a movement that can overcome any set of odds. Angie is right, we need to invest in the south. And the works starts tomorrow.
People of Florida. Y’all better hold your damn head high. We broke state legislature super majorities because we drove turnout while everyone wrote us off.
We have work to do sure, but let’s celebrate the fact we won 17 seats down ballot.
I’m an organizer. And I look forward to getting back to what I love and know best. Organizing THE HELL out of my state.
