I’m setting up a new office and we ordered these plates from @DunelmUK - they arrived broken, but rather refreshingly Dunelm were super easy to deal with & just sent us some new ones out. No fuss, no returns, no lengthy process. That’s how it should be done. Well done Dunelm! 💚

Only just realised John Lennon in Bed for peace was his Twitter platform. Can you believe if he had actual Twitter. He probably wouldn’t use it lol

They say a face can hide a thousand words, being diagnosed with early on set dementia and probable CTE was life changing I was lucky enough to get scans to get a diagnosis on why I’m no longer the person I once was. Im now having to voice my concerns again.I can’t thank the legal team enough for their constant help but this help falls on death ears, I’m homeless, sofa surfing only get an entitlement of £164 per fortnight, The way I’ve been treated by the DWP and my GP is un-humain, it’s a discrimination against the equality act, 3 years fighting pip to which I attended a tribunal, once in the tribunal the GP on zoom would not explain what her profession was and the person who attended with me asked them if they knew what CTE was and they did not, people can’t see pass the word probable because CTE cannot be diagnosed until death but scans can be used against people who have passed with CTE to see the resemblance I was advised if I had more evidence within 1 day the case would be reviewed in 14 days that was December utter shambles, my GP had to Google CTE to see what it was, i am signed off work indefinitely and on my fit notes it states unable to carry out tasks and work due to prognosis of early on set dementia and CTE yet the gp has had all my evidence and still won’t sign my pension, I handed him 1 of 3 reports the 1st was a Meg scan he said he wouldn’t have time or the knowledge to read it so it was simplified but still refusing, I was referred to the early dementia clinic twice but then on two occasions denied because of my age,i have also been trying to contact my MP Chris Bryant to help but no reply only from his office staff who have no way of pushing it, I have been made redundant 2 times by 2 different companies because I could not fullfill my tasks as a electrician, they have all witnesses how much I deteriorated. I was greatful for the opportunities they give and the understanding of my illness, my health has deteriorated and I now have signs of seizures due to bladder issues pains down arms and fainting, I’m hoping this spreads far afield as there are many in my situation, because I’m a fish in a small pond I haven’t had the media attention apart from a paper article so the little fish don’t get the help they need as no one knows us and no one would give us the opportunity, because of my headaches lack of sleep disorientation confusion every day is a fight thats without the hurt of loosing everything I have voices in my head and being my mental health is now like a ticking time 💣 I’ve once tried to take my own life and it’s embarrassing to speak out loud about it but these people with negligence will have blood on their hands. if there’s anybody with advice on getting pension signed because my GP won’t acknowledge wording phrased on my reports I’m asking X for help, also any early dementia clinics I’d appreciate it at I would be able to advise others in the same position as me, @AlixPopham @9smiler @Lennywoodard @Steffan_Thomas1 @Tommo33s @RhonddaBryant @AndrewW93733842 @PlantedSam

For #WorldMentalHealthDay a couple of thoughts about coping with the illness of Depression. I don’t think the militaristic term ‘fighting’ in relation to mental health is helpful - I prefer ‘acceptance.’ Hope this might be of some use - especially to those who struggling now.
