This is what the race to the bottom on immigration fuels.

What on earth could Penny Wong have "concerns about the implementation of a blanket ban and unintended consequences for Australian businesses, for Palestinians and Israelis"
Really disappointing Australia hasn’t joined the UK, France, Canada and others in expanding sanctions on illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
The UK PM was clear: this is about the unacceptable actions of the Israeli government, not the Israeli people and about refusing to just stand by and watch the horrors being perpetrated against Palestinians.
Australia should show the same courage and stand for international law, Palestinian rights and a secure future for both peoples.

To those unfamiliar with the details, this would seem like a great idea.

This is stupid. Cambodia sells a packet of cigarettes for US50c and STILL has an illicit tobacco trade.

Aren't these accounts supposed to have 'parody' in the title?
I have to say, having watched the press conference. Penny Wong was seriously pissed off.
Well here is a first folks. Penny Wong has found a new emotion. Instead of "being concerned", or "deeply concerned", she is now "outraged".

Turns out the AFL and NRL both get a cut of all the gambling revenue. No wonder they like the adverts.
Let's just all agree that no matter what you think of Albo he shouldn't go on any more unscripted podcasts.
I managed to track down a version of the video. To say it's tasteless is an understatement. How it made it past review and went live is beyond me.
An apology does seem deserved.

Not quite lies but enough to divert attention from Telstra's failure. They were running legacy time servers that are a known point of failure.
This should never have happened.

I like the mechanics behind the American constitution.
If you don't like a part of it you can create an amendment. But that amendment needs 2/3rds support in Congress and the Senate and 38 states to ratify it, so no one group has control.
I can only imagine the Today phones ringing off the hook as advertisers threatened to pull out. This isn't about censorship, it's about money.
Karl can either keep his Today advertisers happy and the $2.8m or go and be Joe Rogan.

I'm no supporter of Hanson or her politics, but this was out of order.
National Press Club speakers should face scrutiny through questions from journalists, not be interrupted by political theatrics.

What is it with my luck and suppliers? I ordered a monitor from @MwaveAu on the 19th of May bc it was a great deal. Since then one email to say that the order is delayed.
I suspect they might be playing chicken with me to see who cancels the order first.

I don't understand this whole growing thing in Oz politics, about being "patriots" & embracing "freedom".
Far from being patriotic, it feels like warmed over MAGA nonsense that wont pull in anyone who isn't already there?
The quote is from Tony Abbott who's just become Lib Prez.
In 1950s Australia the avg wage was $946 and the median house price was $6,000. Houses were 6.3x income.
Today the avg wage is $80.6k and the median house is $1.65m. That's 20.4x income.
To restore 1950s affordability, wages would need to be ~$260k or houses ~$500k.
Will we see One Nation join the Coalition? It's the only way I see any of them getting back into government.
