It's interesting to see dozens of small churches lined up in these little Appalachian towns Makes me wonder what's going on in each of them

Keep in mind that the DOOM port was done entirely by hand without AI by a 17 year old. Raw obsession alone is capable of anything.

Within the explosion of vibecoded software projects a lot of them seem to be short lived publicity stunts that live and die in a short period of time. Instead of praising people who drop in for short term validation, can we reward the people who are dedicated and have been in (or will be) these spaces for years?

I got GLM5.3 to reverse-engineer and implement support for the RK3588 in qemu. It got eDP and HDMI and a VOP2 framebuffer fully working. Even figured out DDR training. It's able to boot an unmodified @armbian Orange Pi 5 Ubuntu KDE Plasma image:

Imagine climbing the ladder, burning it, mocking the youth for being unable to climb it, then secretly wanting to tax them to enrich yourself even more
JUST IN: 89% of American seniors support higher taxes on younger workers to protect current Social Security benefits, per Cato Institute

Trying to get GLM 5.3 flash to do low-level development. It's freaking out trying to drop into EL2 and setup the MMU.

DeWalt's Android app doesn't do anything of this btw I think that alone should settle the Milwaukee vs DeWalt debate
Milwaukee's Android app openly sells your data, monitors your precise location, and collects personal information This is for an app that pairs with impact wrenches

Everything's computer!
Today we’re launching America.gov, a single front door to the federal government. Instead of opening a bunch of tabs across different agency sites and trying to figure out which information actually matters to you, you can ask America a question and get the relevant answer from across 29,000+ official government websites, with the source and what to do next.

Been using GLM5.3 for a few weeks and it's really nice to have a model that isn't insulting or gaslighting me or always confidently wrong
Wait, I can't believe Anthropic posted this. Their new research post is a full red team report on someone else's model, GLM-5.3 from Zhipu. The finding is that it builds working exploits almost as well as Claude Mythos Preview. You know, the model Anthropic kept locked away for safety. Except this one you can just download.

When I was 12 I bought 3 IBM Thinkpads so I could try and fix them Within 2 weeks they all were bashed into thousands of pieces on the back porch

Old boomers will try and put you in your place because they used punch cards in the 70s. They still think a modern computer is no more complicated than a 486.
Why is it that almost all old school boomer programmers have such huge egos.
