Using Grok to get a refresher on math and it’s amazing. I’m rusty on Calculus and have a couple of books around but I was never able to make much progress. Tonight I had my “tutor” walk me through the basics of derivation then Leibniz vs. Lagrange notation.
I’ve tried refreshing myself on math numerous times in the past 30+ years, this is the first time it’s felt like I’m making good progress.

<rant> A periodic reminder that Sprints, Backlogs, Daily Scrums, Scrum Boards, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Points, Velocity, PIs, etc., have NOTHING AT ALL to do with "Agile." Agility comes from working small, delivering frequently for feedback from actual customers, and adapting based on that feedback. It has to do with teams working in whatever way they see fit to get stuff into the customer's hands as quickly as possible and acting on the feedback without bureaucratic obstacles. Any way that you can accomplish that is fine. All that garbage I listed in the first sentence just gets in your way.</rant>

Please put timeouts on all network calls, and log when you hit that timeout. Even to your cluster cache. Because sometime, somewhere, your remote call will get throttled and you'll have a heck of a time figuring out what is going on. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
OH: We need to stress test these services. I want someone in an Amazon data center to be pulling a fire extinguisher.
