Over the years I've hiked thousands of miles through scenic wilderness areas. The rest of the time, I just wasted. – at Buffalo, NY

I'm envious that my kids can make best friends in seconds and play like they've known each other for years. That's a skill we lose as adults.
After work I picked a bowl full of peas, mulberries and raspberries. Great for the supper table tonight.
Feels good to get back out on the water as I kayaked a few times around Bond Lake. #WNY
The kids and I hiked @NYstateparks Golden Hill State Park and took a tour of the historic Thirty Mile Point #lighthouse that guards against the shoals of Lake Ontario.

I was planting trees in the rain last night when I discovered a new patch of Jack-in-the-pulpit in our east woods. #wildflowerhour #wildflower
The kids and I were working on the vegetable gardens today. Trying a few new things this year and staying with what has been successful. #GardeningTwitter
Great hike to Taughannock Falls with my family. It is the highest plunge waterfall in the Eastern US. The last time we did this I was carrying my daughter in our Kelty pack. Now she carries her own little pack.
Great job to these Scouts cleaning up Pinewoods Park in North Tonawanda! Together we hauled out about 30 pounds of trash.
This mourning cloak fluttered by me while I was working in my orchard this afternoon. It's the first butterfly of the year that I've seen. #WNY #butterfly #pollinators
The first bluebirds of 2023 here in #WNY. I spotted 4 this morning by the bluebird house trail I built in my front field. #BirdsOfTwitter #bluebirds #Spring #nature
I was hiking through the woods today and found one of those damn Amazon poly envelopes. These bags are competing with balloons and plastic shopping bags for being the most annoying garbage that blows everywhere. #LeaveNoTrace #hiking
