honored to get a shoutout in A2Z Manufacturing Magazine's 40 under 40 list alongside some of the smartest folks I know working on tough problems very grateful for our world-class team putting in lots of work to bring thoughtful, impactful technology to shops in your neighborhood that make up the backbone of our industry it’s so fulfilling to see the impact we’ve made in American manufacturing so far… and we're just getting started! 🇺🇸🫡

rule #1 always get on the plane
Regular "big swings" in your work are strategic, not reckless. You never know when they'll land...and it's important to integrate. You should have: --> Things you are pushing forward every day..and.. --> That one big swing you're working on/taking too...

adding more machines? everyone talks about amperage… but you’ll also need a lot more air we have SenseMFG power users in shops who already solved monitoring on every “production” machine in their shop but we’re giving them much-needed data on their, dryers, and nitrogen generators, etc because if one of those goes out, they lose several production machines at once auxiliary equipment is a quiet killer if you don’t pay attention when playing real life factorio
i grossly underestimated how much compressed air I would need

this is exactly why
Why is everyone who is doing frontier work wether in ai, biotech or any other field larping Oppenheimer? I don’t care about your tortured soul just put the knowledge in the bag That kind of weepiness makes me sick

“request a quote” button = 1) gatekeeping 2) not sophisticated enough to figure out auto-quoting 3) actually so custom they need to learn more to quote (99% of businesses fall in 1+2)
"Request a Quote" = Expensive.

if you use Sense from @MorellCarson @danielmitchell and @FarbTheBuilder you can now connect it to carbon for automated data entry.

Takton, basically
We're entering a fascinating age of operational arbitrage with HoldCos as the mechanism of choice. The bet here is there are businesses with good bones operating WITHOUT AI and then there are those who believe they could operate them better WITH AI. Now we see who's right.

teaching Maryland about AI in manufacturing oops: I talked 10x more about mining data out of factories than building cool factories or using AI wrappers that's where the real alpha is anyway 🤷‍♂️ thank you @3DRAMPMD, @MDBiz, and @TowsonU for giving me a chance to share!

FACTORY FLAG FUND STRIKES AGAIN
Great visit with Material Hybrid Manufacturing in Miami this morning, which is developing innovative battery technology for drones like those made by Hextronics. Both startups have fewer than 25 employees but are meeting critical needs. On Columbus Day and every day, America’s pioneering spirit is driving new frontiers in technology and national defense. 🇺🇸
