We need more utopian sci-fi, so that advanced AI has some good role models to look up to.

Its going to cure cancer right? “The thing I’m most excited about is advertising companies creating their own AI bot” …
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

TIL I learned you can't use a reset if over 90%. @thsottiaux burned tokens and didn't even benefit before expiry 😬
It feels like a crime to let a ChatGPT reset expire. Anyone got any tips on running through a week of usage in an hour? 😅

I’ve been using 1Password to prevent agents from eating all my secrets for a while. It worked, but it was clearly designed for a different era. Excited to see anything they can do to simplify this process. Your secrets shouldn’t live in an AI agent log.
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉 We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly. 1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials. The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords.. You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault. ➡️Learn more: bit.ly/487da6J

With AI cyber attacks increasing and vulnerability discoveries accelerating, as a smaller operator, it is a good time to decrease your surface area. Do you really need multiple CMS? Servers in multiple cloud environments? Diversity can be good, but it must be manageable.

📷 Matomo On-Premise users: urgently update your server’s PHP to fix two critical security vulnerabilities. Updating Matomo alone won’t apply these fixes. Matomo Cloud customers: no action needed. Details: matomo.org/blog/2026/10/crit…

WordPress and SilverStripe users, that means you too.
The PHP security team is giving advance notice: Upcoming security release Wed, Oct 21st 2026, 14:00UTC, two critical vulnerabilities, both rated CVSSv4 9.2. PHP users are encouraged to prepare to update. Earlier release if details become public or active exploit evidence.

There is a world where your agent can know everything about you without the company that built it knowing anything about you. I’d like to live in that world.

This illustrates the point I’ve been making about the limits of centralized approaches to SI safety in cyber. OpenCode (and earlier Hugging Face) hit the same wall mid-attack: frontier models refused to analyze the very exploits needed for defense because the payloads tripped safety filters. The guardrails backfired. Meanwhile, the attackers found a way around restrictions to access advanced capabilities. This is not surprising. Chinese models are only about 6–9 months behind the American frontier in cyber. Obviously the U.S. has no jurisdiction over them. The only durable response is decentralized: make powerful models available so defenders can build and run their own cyber defenses. The only solution to SI-powered cyberattacks is SI-powered cyber defense.
OpenCode is currently under a sustained cyberattack, and mid-incident they ran into the same problem Hugging Face did: the frontier models they were using for defense began refusing to help fight attacking agents because analyzing the attacks started triggering safety guardrails.

Mine took a different direction for some reason…
ask @bot to make you one!

My Hermes Agent mostly waits for me to ask. Grok Bot just goes and does things. Great, until it starts a job I'm already halfway through in another tool with better context 😅 Proactive only helps if it knows what else I've got running.
Grok Bot vs Hermes Agent Can Hermes replace Grok Bot fully? This is something I am wondering about right now. Anyone used both and can give some feedback and info on pros and cons? The difference I know is grok bot is cloud based where hermes is by default local but with cloud options or self hosted vps.

Best Claude Code release of the week. Pulsing code patterns when you click the UI background. Now that code is cheap, we should inject more joy in the mundane surfaces of computing.

Grok Bot is the most "agentic" platform I've worked with yet. It just does things. Maybe too many things... It keeps seeing stuff I'm working on and just going off and trying to do it. Except, more than once, I'm already working on it in another platform with better context.

Modern parenting is brainstorming ideas for stories with your kid in traffic and then having your agent create an audiobook on the fly.

I’ve had a few people write to ask me to follow up on a (reply!) tweet I wrote that’s gotten a lot of retweets. I considered deleting it just to avoid the headache, but I think that would make people more paranoid. So let me share my thoughts.
