Added more buildings, fields and decor items to Quack.
Enough that I had to redesign the build menu to keep everything easy to find. 😁

Designing with AI doesn't make bad designers good.
It's actually making the already good designers really, really good, and leaving everyone else exactly where they were. Still not good at design and it’s even more noticeable now.
whoa, 400+ new faces overnight 🥹 thanks for all the love for my little game. i didn’t expect this at all, and the response has made my day.
a little intro for everyone new here: i’m Daniil, a product designer based in Zurich. i work on education tools by day and make little experiments by night.
welcome!
Working on my first game. Creating games is actually much more fun than playing them for some reason 🫣

I don’t even look at design anymore. I just wrote “do good taste stuff” in a markdown file and gave it to an agent.
It’s currently spending three months in Japan on my behalf.
It visits museums, digs through old magazines, and has life changing conversations with people who make chairs and an 88 year old guy named Torakichi who makes fountain pens. Every night it updates the file so I know what kind of person I am becoming.
Apparently the last three days in Kyoto completely changed how I think about layout. I found out about this "new me" from a notification I got while in a Costco parking lot eating a chicken bake.
There’s a second agent turning these experiences into posts about how important it is to get off the computer and experience the world to become truly inspired. A third agent is deciding which of my friends I’ve outgrown. I get a notification when someone is no longer part of my journey. If you're reading this you're probably on that list.
Yesterday a book arrived in the mail. I liked the cover. I just picked it up and thought it looked nice. It felt good.
My smart home alarm went off and my agent told me to put the book down. According to my agent I shouldn't be wasting my time on X.
But this is the new way of designing. If you're not on board you will get left behind. I love it.
Been experimenting a lot with AI-driven design in @figma , @pendev, and @paper lately. Some quick thoughts:
Figma
🟢 Still the GOAT when working with an established design system. Creating a dedicated skill to teach the agent how to use your components and tokens makes a huge difference.
🔴 Feels significantly slower than the other two in my experience.
Paper
🟢 Incredibly fast and easy to work with. Connecting it to Codex via MCP takes almost no effort. Great for solo projects and design explorations.
🔴 The lack of reusable components is a major limitation, and its design system tooling still needs to mature. Once that's solved, it could become my default.
Pen
🟢 Very fast, with support for components and design tokens. Interestingly, I keep coming back to it for interaction explorations rather than product design.
🔴 The local-first, file-based workflow feels less seamless for collaboration. Cloud sharing and workspaces exist, but it's not quite the experience I'm used to with Figma or Paper.
Each tool shines in a different area. No clear winner for me yet.
I'll keep experimenting and share a more detailed article later.

I've been experimenting with AI-driven design for the past three months.
Here are my takes so far: four ways I use agents in my design work, the tools behind them and where I still step in.
Moving abroad is such an underrated life experience.
Having to figure out the smallest things from scratch, being uncomfortable in ways you didn’t expect, meeting people who have no idea who you were back home.
It’s wild how much of your personality you realize was just a response to the people and environment you grew up around.

i have no time to maintain all my vibe coded tools
we need a business model where someone else maintains the code and i just pay a monthly fee

You aren't addicted TO scrolling/ vaping/ overworking, you're addicted to anesthesia. This is why your attempts to curb addictions require so much willpower

Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
