I made this page for a @monad_dev workshop (representing @ChainstackHQ). Short session, so it had to be concise and AI friendly.
Halfway through writing it I realized I had accidentally built a method. Not new ingredients, but a new way of seeing GTM

if you're building on @base, this is your time to shine
Chainstack is supporting @base Batches 🔵
Every team in the program gets the Growth plan free until 30 Nov: 20M request units a month and 250 RPS to ship on Base.

Not in Batches? The first 10 builders who DM us what they're building on Base get the code too.
Start building on Base ⤵️

$1,000 in Chainstack credits for your startup. They never expire.
We know cool things take time to build. Pivot, rebuild, ship next year — the credits will still be there when you need them.

(3/9) All of these RPC providers are great options, each with its own strengths. Here's how I'd personally rank them based on their overall offerings:
S tier: @ChainstackHQ and @QuickNode
A tier: @Alchemy and @dRPCorg
B tier: @DwellirOfficial
C tier: @Ankr and @GetBlockIo
D tier: @infura_io

Dear Internet,
Saying farewell feels strange when I’m still here every day, watching you die a little harder, a little faster.
I miss the games we played, the chatrooms we logged into, the forums where strangers helped each other just because. The pages we built because we had something to share, and oh boy they sucked. I miss looking for content without first having to ask myself if I'm just being farmed.
Now I’m writing this goodbye with the same machines helping bury you. I’m part of this too. We knew what the people really owning "our" little corners wanted from us. We joked about being the product and kept inviting our loved ones inside.
I’m staying. I still want to build here, and I keep wondering what I owe the place that gave me so much of who I am. Maybe after this storm, we can grow something worth staying for.
Maybe the next chapter is a mix of the past and the things we never dreamed.
But first, I want to say goodbye.
Write your goodbyes, nerd. Remember your username. Accept it will never be the same. The game. The friend you lost contact with. Our little world is gone, more by the day.
Say goodbye to the internet we grew up with. Help kill it faster, if you can.
I’m still here. I miss you already.
we are so cooked
The NSA just told the entire internet to patch or go dark.
Effective immediately.
Not "please consider updating."
Not "we recommend patching at your earliest convenience."
Patch or unplug.
Those are the options.
The NSA doesn't issue advisories for every vulnerability.
They issue them when something is bad enough that the spy agency whose entire job is breaking into systems is worried about other people breaking into systems.
PHP powers 43 percent of the web.
The NSA just told 43 percent of the web to stop existing until it gets fixed.
Or patch in the next 24 hours and hope the attackers haven't already gotten in.
Most organizations are picking option three.
Taking it offline.
Safer to be unavailable than compromised.
The Dutch Parliament already did it.
Finland's government already did it.
University of Vienna already did it.
Now the NSA makes it official.
"If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated."
Translation: you can't patch fast enough so just shut it down.
Patch takes 30 minutes.
Testing takes hours.
Deployment takes longer.
Meanwhile attackers are already inside.
So the NSA's advice is logical.
If you can't patch in 30 minutes go offline now.
Don't wait for the attacks.
Don't test first.
Don't coordinate with stakeholders.
Just unplug it.
The NSA will follow up with more specific guidance.
Which is intelligence agency speak for we're watching the attack traffic and we'll tell you what else they're doing with the access they already have.
you guys are going to have to hear me talk about Chainstack 24/7, because now that I’m recovering from surgery there’s nothing else I can do but work
