There must be legislation that ensures that tenants are protected from arbitrary rent increases, at least giving 6 months' notice before that happens... We are going to create a feedback mechanism where tenants can report, and the government will take action to bring those people to justice.
-Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Lagos State Governorship Candidate, ADC, speaking on arbitrary rent increases in Lagos

On why, despite Lagos State's vast wealth, its citizens still suffer, APC governorship candidate Obafemi Hamzat said his government ''will build roads, rail, and water transportation to move people en masse...have mortgages with a 10% down payment and a 25-year payment plan.''

I joined the TalktoB podcast to discuss my childhood in Lagos. The discussion about childhood playing monkey post on the road and buying baba dudu was very nostalgic. We also discussed what a GRV led government would look like for the youth of Lagos. You can watch it here : youtu.be/oEG1FNm_rYs?si=4k6Y…
The senate is debating a bill that would make emergency care mandatory to all health care providers. They are completely ignoring the need for setting up a fund the pay private hospitals for providing this care .

Earlier today, we joined the family of late Chief Sir Okechukwu "Okey" Ezeibe, MFR, to pay our last respects to the visionary founder and developer of the Tradefair complex .
In a fitting display of solidarity, shops were closed from 12pm.
One of his names ' Omelora ' is so fitting to describe the impact he had on his community.
I met him in 2019 during my run for Senate, He introduced me to H.E. Peter Obi for the first time, he also took me to the turbaning of Waziri in Adamawa were I met H.E. Atiku for the first time.
He was a kind hearted man, Selfless and a builder of men.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Amen.

This guy is my hero in this Calabar outing today. This is exactly how to treat political thugs who want to disrupt election or steal ballot boxes.
Learn from him.
The largest political movement in Nigeria right now is the party of “Non voters” . They have been growing since we returned to democracy and they continue to shape the future of this country.
Congratulations to the amazing @AmaechiChinas . A phenomenal leader and organiser.
Today we remember that @GRVlagos stood firmly on the right side of history.
