Oh look, she’s back, fiction’s favorite professional crier.
Her whole personality relies on that one trait, mostly because if she ever changed, there’d literally be nothing left.
If she cries in this chapter, I'm genuinely going to die laughing.
"She will.. 100%"

Sonic fans today when a writer gets minor criticism about his writing:
"They don’t deserve the hate! You guys need to respect the writers even if you don't like it!"
The same sonic fans in 2011 the second Ken Pontac said he knew nothing about Sonic :
It’s honestly hilarious how he complain about Amy’s writing and promised to stop the whole 'cat-and-mouse' dynamic only to turn around and do the exact same thing with his own characters.
Don't believe me? Just look at Tangle and Whisper in IDW and you will see it.
Hmm I wounder who's fault is that..
SEGA removes Amy Rose's romantic feelings for Sonic from her Japanese character profile!
The official Japanese #Sonic Channel has updated Amy Rose's biography, removing all explicit references to her longtime crush on Sonic.
Her previous profile described her as a girl in love with Sonic who constantly chased him and even called herself his girlfriend, a character trait associated with Amy since her debut in 1993.
The new description takes a different approach, presenting her as an energetic, positive and courageous hedgehog who leads her friends and never backs down when they're in danger. It also highlights her Piko Piko Hammer and dedication to self-improvement.
Interestingly, Sonic is no longer mentioned anywhere in her main character description. The change has sparked discussion among fans, especially given how closely Amy's feelings for Sonic have been associated with her character for decades.
SEGA has not provided an official explanation for the rewrite.
What do you think about this change to Amy's characterization?

So this has been going on for a long time? Wow.
But Let me get this straight: Western Sonic fans dislike how Amy is written, and Japanese Sonic fans feel the exact same way.
So who is this writing actually for? The answer is no one.
People are defending Chris, but this has been happening to Amy for a long time—even before Chris was hired onto the lore team.
For him to claim they won't change Amy is simply a lie. Even if it ultimately came down to a Sega corporate decision, he still lied about it. that's it.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: no matter what individual Sega employees or lore team members tell you on this website, they might lie and do the opposite.
End of story.
I honestly feel bad for anyone who took Chris’s tweet as final word, now amy fans are mad.
They finally did it. It's truly over for Amy.
As of late October 2026, Amy Rose's Sonic Channel bio no longer mentions Sonic at all, for the first time ever.
The Lore Team has persuaded Sonic Team/SoJ to permanently remove Sonic from Amy's character.

Who ever picked idw sonic story to start after sonic forces ending is the one who get the full blame about the "cannon mandates" That people see in the comic.
They doomed it from the start and they know they can't do anything.
Wow... This is actually correct!
Everything you just said was just the perfect way to address how I feel too about idw too!
And the jewel part took me out because.. It's true! 😂
So I ended up finishing the mainline IDW comics. If anyone cares.
IDW Sonic is boring, it has bad pacing and it tries too hard to be Archie Sonic without putting in the effort to understand what made Archie so great. Its original characters are derivative, flanderized and badly introduced. I cannot think of a single character that rises above average writing, and even the average ones are boring. The Chaotix are fine enough but that is their upper ceiling of quality. Shadow is an asshole, Sonic is a sociopath and boring as a plank of wood, Tails has no personality outside of a few scattered moments, Eggman feels as though his character in the Metal Virus was ripped from the previous comic, Knuckles never does anything but sit on his fucking island, Silver is relegated to the cuck chair in a romance that CLEARLY should have belonged to him, character moments are told instead of shown, characters are made out to be idiots in order for the plot to happen and the only decent issues are the ones that have fuck-all to do with the main plot.
You know what my favorite issue of IDW is? #68. It's a simple adventure with Sonic and Tails. It's low-stakes, has nothing to do with the main plot besides the context of testing out extreme gear for the race, it has a neat setting and pretty art, and Sonic and Tails actually seem like decently written characters.
But that's the rub. It's detached. It's one of the vanishingly few downtime issues in the comic. There are far too many arcs that lead right into one another with no break from the action. When I say IDW Sonic has bad pacing, I mean that the comic is exhausting. It almost never SHUTS. UP.
Neo Metal right into Metal Virus right into Chao Races and Badnik Bases right into the Zeti Hunt right into the Weather Tower right into Surge and Kit right into Eggperial City. Only around the 60~ issue mark do we start getting any form of downtime. Then we hop into the Clean Sweep Inc. arc and then we go right into the benfactor and road to 100. This comic has been burning all its fuel getting here while hardly ever taking a moment to take stock of everything in a way the audience can digest.
Reading this comic felt like a fever dream because even right after I read some things, I completely forgot about them because they were never allowed to have any lasting presence.
As for the characters, where do I even start?
Belle is the easiest one. She's introduced in the middle of her crisis and we are expected to care about her despite there being no mystery to her. Everyone knew from the jump that Mr. Tinker made her. So her entire arc was just waiting for the moment when she finally talked to Eggman. And after that, what did they do with her?
She fixes badniks now. The emotionless robotic shells powered by the life force of small animals. Badniks are mobile torture devices. They are not made with love, they're tools. They could have instead made Belle start making her own creations and then have that be a point of conflict between her and Eggman, but as it stands Eggman literally does not care what happens to Belle. She's NOTHING to him. And if that's the case, why should I care about her either?
Whisper is the writers' trauma goblin. There is no arc that she ever goes through in the comic that does not directly involve her trauma in some way. She's a one-trick pony that's been beaten to death.
Tangle was welded to Whisper at the hip ever since they first met, which stifled the growth of both characters, and she's also been utterly flanderized from her first appearance, relegated to the woman-child of the group.
Lanolin is completely unlikeable. Her entire personality is being tired and cranky at Tangle and Sonic. She has no business ordering anyone around, especially legacy characters like Silver, who for the record saved the world not two months prior. She's an upstart. The fact that she had an apology at all is the most shocking thing about this comic.
I defy you to describe Jewel to me without mentioning Tangle.
Mimic isn't threatening because his entire shtick is disguising himself and then trying to stab his target which will never work because kids comic.
Zor is the only Zeti I find entertaining.
Surge and Kit are bad-faith criticisms of a version of Sonic that the writers made up in their heads. They also should not have reappeared after their initial arc.
All of Clutch's feats are told. He's always going on about how he "used to be in the game" and "used to be such a big mob boss" or some shit when all he ever does is order around mooks and occasionally fire a bullet out of his cane. His plans are dumb and even calling him a bargain bin Mammoth Mogul is an insult to the bin.
The "benefactor" being Starline is such a nothingburger of a story because WE ALL KNOW IT'S STARLINE. I don't even care what he plans to do with the emeralds at this point. I legitimately cannot bring myself to care.
IDW Sonic has no stakes. It blew its load in its second arc. I don't care about these characters (as they are) and I don't care about the plot.
TL;DR, Archie was better in basically every respect.
If this dude end up being Dr Starline then I think its really dumb and make his death useless.
And You can tell it's him as soon as I saw shrouded covered in bandages.. And don't forget shrouded give Blackwood the mind control glove.
Ya, it's him, and it's so predictable lol
Can I go a head and say it?
Why did shiro maekawa stop being the main writer for the main games?
Dude wrote sonic adventure 2 and dropped 2 of the best written games in sonic history "secret rings and black knight" And said "ya I'm out"..
He deserves to come back ngl.
What if I told you guys that.. The real MVP in this entire idw sonic comic arc.. Isn't even on this cover? Yep.. Because in this arc I think the real MVP is dipple. Yes that random background character had more interesting writing, Then silver and blaze!
What are we doing!!!
Someone told me about this in the other app and I couldn't believe it but no. They said the truth. Blaze didn't do ANYTHING in this arc. She was there just to be there.
I know this comic always love making a side character shine more then the main character but holy..
I came back to this account to say.
I was right about everything I said about sonic crossworld, except one thing, 4 weeks wasn't actually enough..
1 whole year ever since I talked about the bugs, and guess what? The bugs still there, and add hackers with them.
I'm really glad to see that the sonic and shadow mangas are so successful.
In under two years, Yuki Imada made two amazing mangas, and both were so successful in Japan it's becoming officially translated to the outside world.
And i heard they want to make an anime for it too.
So.. You telling me ever since chapter 68 came out, "Which in 2024 btw" we already passed sonic frontiers storyline?
How does that make any sense?
Even the story before chapter 68 doesn't connect to frontiers story at all.
NEWS: #IDWSonic Head Writer Evan Stanley revealed that issue 83 doesnt take place before Sonic Frontiers.
The game happened earlier. There was dialogue in 84 clarifying Eggman kept Sage at home for a while, but Stanley was asked to remove it to keep things "continuity light."
Stanley and Flynn both fought to keep the dialogue and an editor's note regarding Sage's status in issue 84. As for the game's exact placement within the series, Stanley reasons that shortly before issue 68 is the only one that makes sense. #SonicNews

So.. You guys remember how ian flynn said "the chaos emeralds don't teleport the user"?
Which of course, it's wrong, if we count the old cannon games.
But, If you played Sonic Dream Team, which is a cannon game "Ian words"
this is the description of shadow chaos control.
