Say @SenBlumenthal? Wouldn't hurt to send a preservation order to @SecMullinDHS.
There is a panic at DHS HQ right now; shredders are likely being run around the clock; emails deleted; video records scrubbed; and hasty contracts signed. They've got a lot of money to get to their friends, and a lot of misconduct to hide. Draft the subpoenas now.

JD Vance is trying to rewrite history and claim he opposed the Iran war from the start. Don't let him. It's total crap. He never spoke out against it, never used the power of the vice presidency to stop it, and never told the American people the truth about what's happening there.

Love that one of the diverted tankers is called The Talisman.
Diesel deal update: Russian fuel shipments to the US at risk of falling through Two of the three tankers carrying Russian diesel have changed course. The Talisman has headed into the Mediterranean towards the coast of Algeria, while the Leruo is heading to Brazil. The third tanker, the Agioi Fanendes, is still sailing towards the US but is awaiting further instructions and has no confirmed unloading port. According to Kpler, it may also change course. The shipments are facing political opposition in the US. New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill has warned port operators that they could face sanctions for accepting Russian fuel.

Sure, but what about the entertainment value? I mean I personally find Trump's obsession with men's anatomy &naming everything after himself endearing Like a great uncle you take out of the assisted care on Thanksgiving & he tells you about how he killed 2000 commies in Korea
Watching all these Republican attempts to explain why they lost the election is painful, because they cannot come out and say one simple truth. They handed the party to a corrupt, criminal, dictator-loving, economic and strategic idiot--who proceeded to be all of these things.

I know a lot of folks are talking about the election results, but this tweet, from a sitting @VP, is stunning. The decision to go to war is the most solemn responsibility that a President and Vice President have as leaders. So for you to reduce it to a simple political calculation while we still have 50,000 troops in the Middle East, is one of the most crass, cynical things I've seen. You and President Trump got us into this war, without a clear objective and without regard for the will of the American people. It's cost us American lives and billions of dollars of American treasure, with no end in sight. Last night, the American people delivered a crystal-clear message about the mismanagement of this war, and what it has done to our pocketbooks. Whether you supported the war or simply failed to stop it, your job is not to try and cover yourself, but to get us out of it.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Our enemies know that if you influence education, you influence society, says Charles Asher Small, as he explains how Qatari-funding is directly causing the rot in the educational system in the USA. The Muslim Brotherhood funnelled $100 billion in undeclared dollars into American universities through Qatar. The U.S.-based Qatar Foundation International funded Brown University’s Choices Program, a K-12 history and social studies curriculum used by 8,000 schools in America, which went as far as removing Israel from the map of the world.

Accusations of being a socialist, Marxist, or communist are pretty much meaningless at this point. I believe in free markets, free trade, and globalization. And yet I get labeled a communist. Essentially, in MAGA circles, "communist" has come to mean anyone who isn't MAGA or far right, which would encompass about 60–70% of the population. If I were to conduct a bit of a postmortem on the poor state of the Republican Party, here's a suggestion: stop with the accusations of communism and put forward policies that aren't half-baked, cruel, irrational, economically illiterate, or bigoted.
