crying in the middle of times square is both a core memory & a canon event 🥹 every one of these creators started with one subscriber & today watched themselves on a billboard. the people building the next gen of media shouldn't rent their audience — your voice belongs on beehiiv 🐝

Another day, another mind blowing implementation of AI that has changed the way I work. Today, it's me outsourcing complex logic, architecture and visualization to @eraserlabs. Check out this diagram I was able to generate from a simple business problem prompt!

Hustling to be on my game at work, but cracking inside seeing family, friends, and nations suffering. It has been a difficult week for many, have extra compassion out there.

I know it is hard for founders to focus on reducing customer churn when your stomach is churning from watching the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas.  It is hard to focus on growth while you're watching so much destruction.   It is hard to focus on optimizing lifetime value when you're watching one of the most inhumane attacks in your lifetime.  It is hard to be present when your head and your heart are elsewhere. Take the time to care for yourself and others.  Your morals matter more than metrics.

As a Jew in Australia, I feel the same way except we're seeing "gas the Jews" on our doorstep outside the Sydney Opera House. It's a scary time. Please everyone, stand-up and call out this terrorism for what it is.
Don’t have the right words for it. As a Jew in America it’s tough to open Twitter and see “gas the jews” videos. But watching from the afar via my phone is easy compared to what’s going on in Israel. Thinking of friends, family, colleagues from the tech world in 🇮🇱

A couple startups I work with have been burned by landing their "stretch" exec candidates. It's tempting to hire ahead and get a seasoned candidate you can grow into. But that doesn't get you what you need. Better to hire for what you need today and optimize for high slope.

It's not enough to just talk the talk. It's time to walk the walk. While it may seem like a large feat to switch to an idea meritocracy at your organization, there's no better time than now. It's made a world of difference in my company and will change yours as well.
