Just bought the sales topper at @tatts_online October Sale. Darn Hot Gallop (by Too Darn Hot out of a sister to Enable). She was in training with James Tate. The three year old filly will continue her racing career in France for @EcurieBaratti before going to @HCadran as a broodmare. It was never the intention to be the sales topper but she was too good to pass up with all that @JuddmonteFarms blood running through her 😃

Kind of interesting that many of those that Frankel beat came to India as stallions; Roderic O’Connor (Poonawalla), Saamidd (Hazara) and Strong Suit (Manjri) all stood here. As if that weren’t enough his favourite whipping boy; Excelebration’s dam Sun Shower was imported to India and was re-exported due to the exploits of her proper Gr.1 son. She went on to produce Gr.1 winner Lancaster Bomber for the @coolmorestud lads after that. Lancaster Bomber had a very short but successful career as a sire at South Africa’s @DrakensteinStud before he sadly died aged 7.
Royal Rhyme (Lope De Vega) trained by @karl_burke retires to Hazara Stud in Haryana, India for the 2027 season. The Gr.3 winner and third in the 2025 Champion Stakes, Gr.1 joins David Livingston (Galileo) and Saamidd (Street Cry) on their roster. Another stallion deal brokered by @ajay_anne for India.
We’re still trying to fathom what the hell happened in Sarainaga early morning on the 15th of October. It was like apocalypse hit in the space of literally an hour. Hail the size of Golf balls decimated the rice crop that was close to harvest an entire factory in neighbouring Marar Kalan village was blown away, trees and branches got flung far and wide. We were lucky that the horses weren’t harmed. While the larger area around Muktsar was spared, the damage in Marar Kalan, Sarainaga and Harike Kalan was severe. Lots of trees on our property were damaged and big branches fell but luckily not a lot of them got uprooted. Gale force winds lasted for an hour. Never heard of a Tornado in our neck of the woods but the damage done and the odd direction it took its a possibility. Government response? NIL! 🤷🏽♂️ I mean even an acknowledgement would be good but then again us Punjabis are used to helping ourselves rather than look for crutches
Makes Zero sense to retire a horse thats in prime form. As it stands he is Europe’s best sprinter, another year of winning the best Gr.1 sprint prizes will double his stallion value. Secondly he will eat into the book of @Shadwell_EU’s own stallion Minzaal who has a similar profile and then there’s of course their record of making/marketing/proving stallions……that’s a tale of woe that runs almost four decades now! 🤷🏽♂️

Notable Speech (Dubawi), Bow Echo (Night Of Thunder), Ombudsman (Night Of Thunder) all retire under the @godolphin @DarleyStallions banner this year. All three look like the sort of stallions that could headline any roster. They have a back to back Champion sire in the prime of his career in Night Of Thunder (Dubawi) and Blue Point (Shamardal) who has fast established himself among Europe’s top stallions. The supporting cast is strong too. They have a real embarrassment of riches.
Considering Sovereignty is under a cloud why not give him a spin in the Breeders’ Cup Classic on dirt? No downside only upside to that @godolphin

Go well #MedagliadOro a great racehorse trained by the legendary Bobby Frankel. With his success as a sire he brought variety to American breeding by helping to propagate the Sadlers Wells sire-line stateside along with Kitten’s Joy. He was a fabulous specimen of a thoroughbred too
We are deeply saddened to report that #MedagliadOro passed away this morning at Jonabell Farm at the age of 27.
He will be greatly missed 💙

सरकार ने जंतर-मंतर को प्रोटेस्ट site के रूप में डिनोटिफाई कर दिया है. इस फैसले से सैकड़ों परिवारों ने राहत की सांस ली है. ये वो परिवार हैं, जिनकी दुकानें जंतर-मंतर के आसपास के इलाकों में हैं, किसी का घर है, किसी का बिजनेस है.
इन लोगों का कहना है कि प्रोटेस्ट के नाम पर जंतर-मंतर पर होने वाले हंगामे से उनका काम-धंधा चौपट हो रहा था. जंतर-मंतर के आसपास रहने वालों और दुकान चलाने वालों की बात सुनकर तो साफ़ लगता है कि जंतर-मंतर पर प्रदर्शन से आम जनता को परेशानी होती है, व्यापारियों के काम का नुक़सान होता है.
लोकतंत्र में प्रदर्शन का अधिकार है, लेकिन अगर प्रदर्शन का मक़सद सिर्फ़ जगह घेरकर अराजकता फैलाकर सरकार को मजबूर करना हो, तो वह प्रदर्शन लोकतंत्र के दायरे में नहीं आ सकता. प्रदर्शन करने की जगह कहां हो, कैसी हो, इसका फ़ैसला कौन करेगा?
अगर ये प्रदर्शन करने वालों को तय करना है तो फिर उन्हें इस बात की ज़िम्मेदारी भी लेनी होगी कि सबकुछ शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से होगा, इलाक़े में रहने वालों और कारोबार करने वालों को कोई परेशानी नहीं होगी. अगर प्रदर्शन करने वालों का लोकतांत्रिक अधिकार है तो फिर जनता के मौलिक अधिकारों की रक्षा भी होनी चाहिए.
