Honestly you should pass some sort of basic humanitarian evaluation to teach, doctor, govern, and rent out property. Anything involving the health and well being of human beings should not be allowed to get to this state. How awful.
Man. I grew up watching Friends every night with my family. Then when I found out Matthew Perry fought through addiction, became sober, and dedicated time and energy to helping other addicts, my respect for him skyrocketed. I’m gutted. We lost a great one.
Parents, I am begging you to look at your family. Look at your children, grown or not. Read this and see who that is, and for the love of that child, help them, and heal them.
Those of us past that point of intervention- we have work to do.

I learned today that South Korean women are doing a full blown birth & relationships strike to combat misogyny and other structural issues in their society, enough that it’s actually statistically affecting birth rates and causing the govt to talk about changing policies.

What do you find hard about therapy as an autistic/ADHD person?

Can't afford SF rent?
- SF Avg Rent: $3,500/mo
- Vegas Avg Rent: $1,500/mo
- Flight from Vegas to SF: $68
Living in Vegas and commuting to SF 5x a week is $640/mo cheaper than just living in SF.
You know what? I think it’s time we started taking notes on doctors and nurses, so that people can see what medical workers are gonna be abusive, and request they not be allowed near us or loved ones.

It’s called ✨hyperfocus✨and it’s the superpower of neurodivergent types :3
man can we not blanket statement obesity as laziness please? There are so many reasons people are overweight and the cognitive fatigue associated with it. It’s a disease. I know you’re making a good point, trans people deserve surgeries! But don’t belittle obese folk to do it.
Doctors, the world is losing trust in you. All of you. This should be the biggest of red flags. No one should go in seeking care and be fearful of the healer meant to help them.

When you're an autistic person you have to take neurotypical people's comforting lines of "I'm sure it'll be fine" with a giant mountain of salt, especially when it comes to social interactions and how you'll be received. I always get friendly-tricked into believing it. 🤦
bruh mental health issues are way more complicated than some “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” mentality can fix. Have some empathy.

I guarantee you if it had been white girls doing tap dance or an old couple ballroom dancing he would have smiled and clapped.
