One month ago, I sat down with President Lula to discuss how government serving poor and working people. Weeks later, Brazil took a historic step: a 40-hour workweek, at least two days off and no cuts to pay for more than 30 million workers.
Workers fought for decades to win the five-day workweek in America. Brazilian workers have fought for this victory, too. I congratulate them on this achievement.
Working people deserve time to live, not just work. Building a better future means giving people more of their lives back. And we’ll keep fighting for it.

So you’re telling me the guy who broke the Acton ad story is the same guy who went viral in 2024 for going up to the Ohio state senate president and his comms director and said the dril tweet “well well well if it isn’t the blowjob brothers” ? rooster.info/p/john-fortney-…
How this has all unfolded is crazy...
‣ Ohio political blogger The Rooster (@OhioCrawler) publishes a copy of the ad on social media Monday night after reporting the week prior that he heard it was coming
‣ Right-wing influencers, including @DonaldJTrumpJr, share the ad and promote it as a bombshell
‣ @amyactonoh's campaign releases a statement from her brother condemning the ad
‣ Acton condemns the ad in interviews with @SpectrumNews1OH and @wosunews
‣ @VivekGRamaswamy's campaign releases a statement that doesn’t condemn or take ownership of the ad, but raises questions about Acton’s relationship with her estranged mom
‣ The Rooster tells @CNN he was sent the ad by a voter who saw it as part of a poll and recorded it
‣ Acton’s campaign releases an ad in response of her brother condemning it
‣ A growing list of Ohio and national Democrats and Republicans condemn the ad and urge Ramaswamy to distance himself from it
‣ Ramaswamy confirms to @USATODAY's Ohio Statehouse Bureau that his campaign produced the ad
‣ Ramaswamy’s campaign tells @axios it will spend $4 million to air the ad statewide
Nancy Mace, welcome to the #resistance
'This ad is going to go down as the most shameful, disgusting, offensive ad this election season.' GOP Rep. Nancy Mace tells @jaketapper it will take time for her party to recover from the damage done by Ohio Gov. candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring his opponent's estranged mother.

This story is a great discourse generator because you can project some of your favourite racial stereotypes onto it, but mostly because both of these people seem pathetic and ridiculous in different ways.

It’s difficult to say what the craziest sincerely held belief of woke was. It’s a tough bar to clear. For my money the belief that inner city public school teachers were suspending black girls to satisfy their sadistic racial bias has to be a contender.
Replying to @lymanstoneky
This is far from proving causality of course but I’ve gone to the museums a lot with my little ones (I live close by) and the American History museum indeed has kinda poor attendance and deranged woke exhibit text.
Here’s one I snapped:

New: Andrew Feinberg, the reporter that Trump snapped at here, was slated to serve as the print pool reporter on Thursday.
Feinberg confirms to me that, without explanation, the White House told him today that he would no longer be the print pooler on Trump's Thursday trip.
Donald Trump lost his temper at a journalist during an Oval Office press conference, calling him a “sick person”.
The US president raged at The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg after he asked him questions about his golf course and his new tip-off hotline designed to expose fraudsters.
