As we say in end of life care, you only have one chance to get it right. Judging from the replies to this it looks like @BritishGas care more about social media reputation than learning from past mistakes.
Hi Debbie. Firstly, my sincere condolences on the loss of your mum 💙. I'm so sorry to hear that your experience with us has been disappointing at such a difficult time. This isn't the service we aim to provide. Please send us a DM and we will look into this for you.

Day out in Lincoln today. This Roman arch is almost 2000 years old and still has daily traffic passing through it. Living history right there for all to see.

This is all well and good but without enforcement it’s meaningless By enforcement, I don’t mean piling more pressure on a single member of onboard train staff who has enough confrontation to deal with or the excellent (when available) @BTP who sadly, are very few and far between
🚨 NEW: The Government has announced headphone dodgers on trains will face fines of up to £1,000 as a nationwide campaign launches today

In my opinion, the problem with healthcare mandatory training is that it’s mostly faceless, dull, patronising online videos and tickboxes. It’s a chore to complete on top of regular work and often so generic it doesn’t connect with your role or organisation. 1/2
This is happening like clockwork on major incidents now. Do these people get no data protection training?

It’s a poor way of learning, that seems added to each time there is any sort of incident or successful activism and I strongly suspect most useful to HR and legal teams when defending decisions as they can claim “people were told”. We need better ways. 2/2.

I retired at 53. 100% the right decision. I started with very little. It took a lot of hard work to earn enough to save, confidence to say no to other people’s expectations on spending, sticking with older cars etc. Lost most of 40’s to it but reaping the benefit now.
I think retiring at 50 should be a completely normal thing. You've already spent 25–30 years waking up to alarms, dealing with deadlines, and making someone else money. At some point, you deserve to wake up and spend your day doing absolutely whatever you want.

It is repulsive. If we want to tackle misogyny, VAWG, antisemitism, homophobia and religious fundamentalism, a good first step would be to reform charity law so the state stops subsidising organisations that promote them. secularism.org.uk/news/2026/…
This is repulsive. The police should be involved, not just the charity commission. Religious beliefs do not give you the right to beat up women.

Horrific
A mosque in London with charitable status is facing an investigation after it published sermons encouraging husbands to strike their wives and condoning the execution of gay people. Coverage of @NatSecSoc investigation in The Mail 👇 dailymail.com/news/article-1…

After 12 years the latest price increase, now with annoying adverts, means it’s time to say goodbye to @netflix. Raising subs without raising value is a bad move.

I was at work when the news broke. I’ll never forget watching the Islamist terrorist attack on the twin towers on 9/11. The horrendous images, the uncertainly about what would happen next. We must never ever forget what drove this attack and the threat it still poses.

My first visit to Philadelphia. I’m disconcerted. So much pride, wealth and history yet so many people on the street with obvious addiction and serious mental health issues. Something has broken here and the symptoms are quite distressing to see. 1/3

The pain so many people are suffering is right in your face. Along with the frequent smell of cannabis. Housing, health, policing, social services, civic society. I don’t understand what’s happening but the issue is far to big to ignore 2/3

In another time and another place I’d have been able to do something. Those days are gone but whilst I’m powerless others are not. This needs leadership with urgency. 3/3

First stop on my solo trip across the States almost over. Boston has been incredible. The history, the city, the people. So much to explore. Next stop Philadelphia.

Stop saying Dolly Parton was a national treasure! There are kids here in Hull in Yorkshire who can read because of her. She was a global treasure.
