As part of testing @Muse, I quizzed it to explain to me a few things I think about when using these agents and deciding how much connections and context to give - the struggle of the Trust-Utility Curve (the more you give, the more useful it can be). xitter.cf/melodykoh/status/20262… TLDR - there continues to be limitations around how LLMs fundamentally work and the probabilistic nature of things, and there really isn't a way to get around on context leakage or prompt injection-like attacks. However, I found Muse/Meta's willingness to be transparent in its mechanics reassuring. A few highlights on my Q&A with Muse - see more details on the screenshots of my questions and its responses. 🧵 Q1 - you say that you will ask for my permission for actions, but how do I know this can be enforced deterministically (vs instructions in files, which are just vibes for these models)? Most reassuring part of the answer: "When I invoke a send tool, the runtime intercepts the call and blocks execution until you've approved it. I can't trigger the approval myself, can't see it, can't override it — the approval card is invisible to me and your decision is final. So even a compromised or injected version of me, actively trying to send without asking, hits the same wall: there is no code path where the send executes without the runtime obtaining your decision first." Translate to non-developer speak: there's a mechanical gate that forces the model to serve up approval to the user when the action is a list of predefined "must get user approval". No vibes-bsed (good!)
Finally caved in to try Muse. Quick hits / thoughts thus far (especially compared to Instinct)- 1. I really like the ability to see the detailed actions (tool calls, steps) behind the scene - they do a good job hiding these but they’re also easily accessible and not completely black-box / headless. Why is it useful? It’s a level of transparency and also lets me intercept if I see the agent going down the wrong path E.g. I asked it to draft something for me and it found a GitHub public repo on content by itself. I saw it (good job finding it!) and had to intercept and tell it that the content there is few months behind my private repo, so don’t use that as authority 2. The app interface allows for much more robust interaction modalities. I especially like how you can see browser use actions (like literally what it’s doing on the browser) and you can take over at any time. In contrast, having used Instinct for a few weeks now, the single-threading iMessage interface is a bit unwieldy and hard to manage, especially when having it do multiple tasks and needing to find stuff from earlier conversations More to come. Only 30mins in!

Congrats @willahmed and the @whoop team. It's been amazing to witness this company's progress from humble beginnings. More than most companies of such scale, it truly always feels like day 1 at Whoop. Very excited for the journey ahead as you push further into preventative health.
BREAKING: WHOOP RAISES $575M AT $10.1B VALUATION  I am pleased to announce that we’ve raised $575M at a $10.1B valuation to accelerate our mission of unlocking human performance and healthspan globally. This round was led by Collaborative Fund with participation from 2PointZero Group, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Mubadala Investment Company, Abbott, Mayo Clinic, Macquarie Capital, Glade Brook, B-Flexion, IVP, Foundry, Accomplice, Affinity Partners, Promus Ventures, and Bullhound Capital alongside a group of individual investors including Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Rory McIlroy, Virgil van Dijk, and Mathieu van der Poel. This investor group and this moment reflect a powerful evolution underway for Whoop and the broader healthcare market. Whoop was born in performance - trusted by the best athletes in the world to train, recover, and compete at the highest level. That foundation remains core to who we are. You see that in the iconic athlete investors joining this round.  But it also represents our push into broader health.  In the past 12 months, WHOOP has received medical clearances, launched blood testing, and created a platform that has saved lives. Abbott and Mayo Clinic - two of the most respected and influential institutions in global healthcare - are now investors in Whoop. These are organizations that have shaped modern medicine. Their decision to partner with us is a clear validation of where our technology is headed. Healthcare systems around the world are reactive. For too long, they have waited for people to get sick, then intervene. Chronic disease is rising and costs continue to climb. At Whoop, we believe the future looks fundamentally different. We are building the most powerful, personal, preventive health platform in the world - powered by continuous biometric data, advanced analytics, and AI to help people understand their bodies and improve their health in real time. I am grateful to our team, our members, and our partners for believing in this vision. I’ve been building this company for 14 years and I’ve never been more excited for the future.

@AnthropicAI made Claude 2.5x faster this weekend. Six million people saw the announcement. But speed was never the real bottleneck. The thing limiting what most people get from AI agents is not capability — it is how much access they have actually granted.

For 40 years the file browser hasn’t changed. Today, we’re launching with $8 million in seed funding to rebuild the file browser into something more intelligent, searchable, and delightful. The world is in the middle of a data explosion. We’re generating and using more files than ever, but the apps we’re using to manage our files don’t even understand them. It’s time for file browsers to become useful. When you search for “dog”, it should show you content with dogs in it, not just files with “dog” in the name! When you want to edit, convert, summarize, or organize a file, your browser should do that, too. Your files tell the story of your life, but when you need a specific one, you usually can’t even find it anymore. Why can’t your file browser find it for you, or cross-reference it when you have a question? Prompting can give an LLM a million tokens of context. With Poly, you can give it the next trillion. As long as we can afford it, all new users receive 100GB of free cloud storage. We can’t wait for you to try it out!

I see four forces that are creating a serious threat to the seed VC model: 1. Industry maturation eroding profits for sub-scale players 2. The nearly unstoppable forces of YC and the megafunds 3. Power-law thinking becoming consensus 4. The AI platform shift

There has been a lot of discussion about the bifurcation of the venture market that we are currently witnessing. One way I like to think about it is that VC backed companies are choosing to either ride the express train or jump into a warp zone.

Exciting News: Schematic is publicly available and we’ve raised $4.8M in seed funding! 🚀 I’m pumped to share that Schematic is now publicly available! We've also raised $4.8M in seed funding, led by MHS Capital with participation from @NextViewVC , @activecapitalvc, @AtlantaVentures and @RitualVC with support from incredible founders of companies like @CrowdStrike, @LaunchDarkly, and @Salesloft. A big thank you to our investors for believing in us, to our customers for guiding us, and to @ben_papillon, @jasgarch, @giohobbins, Vladyslav Len, Youssef Salah, Christopher Brady, Joseph Chrzan, @mohammed87yahya, and Markiian Simkiv for the opportunity to build this together. ➡️ Solving the last mile of pricing & packaging At every startup, one thing is certain: pricing and packaging will always change. Product and engineering teams shouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel every time this happens. Most companies hard-code pricing and packaging into their applications, making it slow and painful to evolve as market demands shift. ➡️ What We’re Building We're building Schematic to transform pricing and packaging for B2B SaaS companies by getting product and engineering teams out of billing projects. With Schematic, B2B SaaS companies can change pricing & packaging without code changes or billing refactors. ➡️ How It Works With just a few lines of code, businesses can implement pricing and packaging into any application—end-to-end—from feature delivery through billing and customer experience. Quickly roll out new features and tie them to your pricing plans. Target specific plans to customers and adjust them without engineering support. Experiment, scale, and manage pricing & packaging operations: trials, plans, limits, entitlements, metering usage, handling exceptions, provisioning customers, & embedding front-end purchasing components —all without code changes. ➡️ Who we’re building for We’re building Schematic for B2B SaaS companies who want their pricing & packaging roadmaps to move in sync with their product roadmaps, without slowing down their engineering teams. Some key use cases our customers are already benefiting from: 🔹Outsourcing homegrown & hard-coded entitlement services. 🔹Programmatically managing feature access based on subscription plans. 🔹Metering usage and actually enforcing limits. 🔹Updating and managing plans, add-ons, bundling, and customer exceptions 🔹Delivering embeddable purchasing experiences (pricing tables, customer portals, upgrade/downgrade flows, etc). We’re still in the early innings, but the foundation is strong—we're already handling 500K entitlement flag evaluations every month. If you’re a founder or a product leader looking to avoid building what should be out-of-the-box (feature flags, entitlements, admin dashboards, customer portals), check out Schematic and let us know what you think.
