Funded PhD studentship in solid-state NMR of energy materials! Come work on exciting materials with great facilities @warwickchem. Oct 25 start, unfortunately limited to UK residents. Please share! Happy to answer any questions by email. #NMRchat jobs.ac.uk/job/DKL178/phd-st…
A good day in the lab is one where you teach a student to manually tune & match an NMR probe (and look at how responsive this VNA is!) #NMRchat
Spotted in the NMR lab… the classic Fisherman’s Friend mint tin… filled with RF connectors. #NMRchat
Excited to announce that I've joined the Colorado School of Mines @mineschemistry as an assistant professor! Our research group will develop & apply advanced magnetic resonance techniques to explore ion dynamics in energy storage materials, working to advance sustainable energy.

Another paper from @davidhalat - in collaboration with the @asalleo group at Stanford, we studied a mixed ionic-electronic conducting polymer - PFG-NMR measurements show ionic liquid confined within the polymer remains highly mobile! #nmrchat

Chicago is the most crystalline city in the world (appliednetsci.springeropen.c…). I took the "powder diffraction pattern" (radially integrated FFT) of Chicago and did a crystallographic refinement in TOPAS. The rectangular cell matches Chicago's 4x1 block shape!
