don't let stella kidd fool you—from the dismal ratio of men and women (specifically firefighters/officers) to women denied motherhood while the men get to be fathers, chicago fire is little more than a boys' club. motherhood, gender, and chicago fire medium.com/@koryxx/motherhoo…

i think people should care more about not upholding and perpetuating misogyny than whether or not kourtney is trying too hard to be the girl at the rock show. style, misogyny, and kourtney kardashian-barker medium.com/@koryxx/style-mis…

i just saw some quintessential millennial tv shows about teenagers/early 20 somethings from the 2000s called "the golden age of gen z tv" and i'm personally offended

i don't even care much for the specific shows they used as examples and i'm still like EXCUSE ME????

when those "read this book if you love this album/movie/show" posts are like "read this smutty dark serial killer romance if you love the cheetah girls because the guy is also a singer!!" like what do you mean babe what do you mean

y'all just be saying anything for the sake of content and engagement rather than actually putting some genuine thought into what books people actually might like based on other media they like. it's all nonsense and annoying. why even bother?

"taylor's fun pop songs were fine when she was in her 20s but she's too old now" it's incredibly sad and tragic and misogynistic to think a woman being silly, whimsical, enthusiastic, having fun, etc. just...stops once she hits 30.

there's a woman on ig who has a 2000s nostalgia room and she gets hate for it because she's "too old" meanwhile grown men have game rooms and man caves and still obsess over things they loved as kids/teens/20 somethings. and it's. fine. got it.

you not liking showgirl doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, actually. she's not too old for fun pop, she hasn't declined in skill...she's just making music you don't like. put on folklore and shut the fuck up about it.

shoutout to authors who never shut up about the queer rep in their books 🏳️‍🌈🥳💕

not only does it make it so much easier for me to find books with pan rep but it's also just nice to see authors celebrate the queerness in their books instead of writing it and then just never talking about it.

a pansexual book character referencing david rose's wine metaphor to describe his sexuality 🥰 the author misinterpreting the "not liking labels" part of the metaphor as meaning "i don't like to label myself" 😫

"i like the wine and not the label" wine = people, labels = gender. david likes people, not gender. david is pansexual. it's a metaphor for pansexuality, not for disliking labeling your sexuality. this is not hard.

i made a list of the books i haven't heard of that were in pan book lists and i can't wait to find out how many have unlabeled queer rep that can be interpreted as pan and how many have confirmed out of text bi rep 🥰🥰🥰🥰

out of 25 books, less than half actually have confirmed (in or out of text) pan rep 🙄

the encore of a show is for those who loved what they heard and stuck around cheering for more btw

you guys arent LISTENING to babylon. when midnights was first released everyone called it “mid”nights. almost nobody liked ttpd at first. the taylor fandom literally split in half when folklore first came out. you hate this song and then that melody is all you want
