“The audacity for you to lecture the Jewish man in the chamber on antisemitism will be seen as utterly absurd.”
Green Party Leader Zack Polanski on Thursday rejected the notion that criticising Zionism and condemning Israel’s genocide in Gaza equates to antisemitism

Hi Ben, this is a truly disgusting (and cowardly) tweet. So glad I have spent the past year turning down your repeated invites to appear on your show.
For the record, this is a Jewish journalist interviewing the Jewish *author* of the IHRA antisemitism definition for Zeteo, and it is Stern himself who thinks it’s a mistake to use the IHRA definition in the way the government is.
But since you can’t engage with the substance of any of this, you resort to smear by insinuation.

"Israel would say ..."
This is an extraordinary compilation - an exhibit for the genocide museum.
The most painful part is the faces of the people from the region who just have to sit silent through what is essentially genocide denialism. /1

What Americans call left and right, the world calls empire.
Your left bombs Libya.
Your right bombs Iraq.
Your left funds Israel.
Your right funds Israel.
Your left starves Cuba.
Your right starves Cuba.
And when the dust clears, you ask which party was more humane while the corpses look at you in silence.

It's utterly pathetic the way BBC presenters like Victoria Derbyshire are told by BBC bosses to say to outspoken interviewees like Bernie Sanders things like "President Trump and his family would deny they are corrupt", or "The Israeli Government would deny they are extremist". It's gross over-reaction to Trump libel action against the BBC.

A handy boycott list coming up to Xmas present buying time - I was surprised by Jo Malone being on the list ( but wasn't planning to buy any of her over-priced stuff anyway).
Mehdi responds to Piers Morgan's question about the US cutting aid to Israel.
"Don't fall for the bait and switch. They don't want to cut aid and cut Israel off. They want to cut aid and make Israel a military partner -bring Israel into the US military production line.
They know they've lost public opinion on aid. So they want to integrate the two militaries so deeply that a future progressive president can't do anything about it in 2029."
You what ?
FACT CHECK:
✅ Local Green groups were given an opportunity to denounce the disgraceful "Zionism is Racism" policy and call on their leadership to do the same.
✅ Several did, and those local arrangements remain in place.
❌ It's disappointing more Green groups didn't feel they could do the same - we continue to call on the Green Party to drop this appalling policy.
✅ Today's action addresses support for this unacceptable policy - which clearly crosses a line. Local power sharing arrangements cannot come at the expense of upholding the moral obligation we have to stand up for everyone in our communities and the values we share.
❌ Today's action was not about whether people can or cannot criticise the actions of the Israeli Government - as the Labour Party repeatedly has.
❌ Any suggestion that today's action was about anything other than the "Zionism is Racism" policy is plain misinformation.
✅ Labour councillors will continue working hard day in, day out for their local communities. That's what we do.

"The starvation of Gaza was able to be effected because all the necessary preparations had been made.. for 18yrs Gaza had been kept deliberately on the brink"
Chris Sidoti notes that 151 children are officially recorded as having starved to death between 2023 & 2025.
109 years later.
The Labour Party is dead to me.
On this day 109 years ago today British foreign secretary Arthur Balfour sent a letter to Lord Rothschild, a leading member of the UK's Jewish community, expressing the British government's support for the establishment of a Jewish national homeland in Israel.
It laid the foundation for the eventual end of the British Mandate of Palestine and the establishment of the State of Israel.
This article from the declaration's centenary explains how the Labour party already supported its aims months before it was written:

I’ve never seen a police officer so desperate to arrest someone, yet unable to do so.
She was simply reiterating the Government’s position, so what could he do?
Arrest the Government?

This is the reddest of red flags. So many young people are flocking to the Greens because the other parties offer neoliberalism (or fascism) and they've been screwed over by neoliberalism their whole lives. Othering them by calling them the "hard left" is disgusting.
