You can no longer create an account here with VPS or Tor.
Which guarantees that no genuine whistleblower is going to be here. Only distractions and propaganda.

Jack Dorsey’s Bitchat just hit #1 on France’s App Store.
It's a bitcoin and messaging app that works without the internet.
Censorship-resistant technology matters.
So many "pure veg" gujju places across SE Asia.
Why would you want to visit a place and not even try local cuisine.
Just stay in Gujarat.
Ran into a former Indian ambassador who had been posted in several ASEAN countries.
Asked him what he thought of the surge in Indian tourists to SE Asia. What he said is troubling. He said ‘ they are travelling to all these countries but have minimal intellectual curiosity about them. The obsession - where can I get Indian food.’
If this is true, we will continue to learn nothing, absorb nothing, despite all the influencers and global travel.
Only ever buy professional displays or used dumb TVs.
WTF, $3000 Samsung TV has an always-on mic, automatic content recognition, geo tracking, network mapping, and ships your data to Samsung + 400 partners.
Bro Rooted a brand-new 2025 Samsung TV after noticing absurdly targeted ads.
Firmware was locked down, so zero-days it was.
Got a root shell.
then found: always-on voice service, ACR, geo, full telemetry pipeline, and four separate DRM systems.
This isn’t a bug, It’s the product bro.

The funny thing is everyone was saying AI slop code will cause a cyber crisis but it’s actually all the old human slop causing it and the AI is just cleaning it up

The Cyber Pandemic is here. Your antennae should be raised. Time to mentally prepare for the propaganda onslaught that will inevitably result from today.
Resist the calls for complete control over the internet by governments and their trusted corporate partners.

There's also general zeitgeist stuff. An FPS in 90s or 00s hit different because that stuff didn't exist back then. Now there is oversupply and the novelty is far less.
Wokeifying just accelerated the inevitable decline.

I don't think anyone is against use of AI.
Encouraging vibe code without checks will break stuff.
I will love it if multiple LLMs are parsing major libraries for bugs. But not the same as sloppifying battle tested software.

Iris Chat is like Signal, but without phone numbers or accounts.
Identities are Nostr public keys. Just enter a name (or leave it blank) and start messaging.
Works offline over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Available on mobile and desktop. Agent-friendly CLI.

Somehow I knew this 🙂
JUST IN🚨: We may have miscounted Earth's population.... by literally billions, new study reveals.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
A 2025 study found gridded rural population datasets underestimated figures in sampled areas by 53-84% but researchers and demographers state it does not mean Earth's total population was miscounted by billions.

Some people are just so miserable.
Not everything in life has to 'make sense' or 'fit your lifestyle'.
Sometimes just simply having fun and building crazy shit is what it should be. Imagine being an Engineer and having the privilege to work on this. And then seeing this demo where the public finally gets to see it work.
Will I ever own one? Probably not. Do I need one? No. Will Tesla ever make money with it? Unlikely.
But sure enough it's a mighty demo of what can be done and it's the best employer advertisement you can imagine. This is how you get the engineers to apply that'll build not only this, but products like the Y that dominate the world market. The one does not preclude the other.

A stunt that will kickstart a million young engineers.
This car could never come to production and still change the world.
You don't have to be anti AI to say that hastily pushed slop code will damage mature and robust FOSS projects.
It is common sense.
More code = more problems.
Crazy times.
