Extremely excited to share I’ve joined @Essence as Executive Editor/VP of Content. I keep searching for the right words but I don’t really have them. I deeply believe Black women are the most valuable beings on Earth. Honored is an understatement.

Last week my 3 yr old daughter watched @Simone_Biles win gold. This week I want her to watch how she received silver. Being the 🐐 is just as much about how you lose as it is about how you win

Between the Eagles social media clips and the Essence cover, Jalen Hurts contract extension rollout is better than most album rollouts!

a month before the announcement of his historic @Eagles contract, I was in Philly with @JalenHurts for @essence 🏈 "I always knew what I’d be," Hurts told me over honeyed coffee. "I never knew how I’d get there, but I always knew what I wanted.” #NFL essence.com/culture/jalen-hu… 🔆

Salute to @agentnicolelynn. Salute to @essence and @dbcadet. Salute to @danamo. Salute to Black women and the irreplaceable energy you bring to a world that doesn’t make it easy on you, to say the very least. From today’s 23rd win on @AroundtheHorn.

Another big win for the wife @danamo 🏆 Her brilliantly insightful profile of @JalenHurts arrives the day he secured the biggest 💰 in NFL history. Read all about it @essence where @dbcadet stays making big boss moves. 🏆❤️ #ProudHusbandsClub essence.com/culture/jalen-hu…

thank you @dbcadet 🔆 the tribe of the Danielles/Danyels is a strong one 🔆
.@JalenHurts is officially the highest paid player in NFL history! And who has his story? @Essence does. Jalen is a Black man who loves Black women deeply & he wanted a Black publication to tell his story. I cannot thank my sister @danamo enough for illustrating him so perfectly

It was such a pleasure to go back home to my alma mater. I am a forever proud Black Cat 💜😸
Thank you to @dbcadet (BSJ10, MSJ11) of @Essence and @marctothec of @WiedenKennedy for visiting campus to speak with the Medill community about how social media has shaped modern narratives around the Black experience and provided new outlets and insights for storytellers.

Friendly reminder that pregnancy doesn’t stop women from doing dope shit. If Rihanna doesn’t give y’all new music, it’s not bc she’s pregnant — it’s bc she doesn’t want to.
