@IamStevenT took mine in Mansfield Ma. It was such a great memory!! I was glad he gave it back. That evening was almost as exciting as the time I met him with Robert Plant, Jim page Joe Perry & D Aykroyd at a neurotic outsiders concert with @DuffMcKagan at Mama Kin #AEROPHONEVID

You’ve been in public office for 53 years. You’ve never done one thing to make life more affordable for a single American. You’re just lucky Massachusetts voters are almost as dumb as you are.
Health care. Affordable housing. Worker protections. A living wage. We need to make life more affordable for working people across the Commonwealth and the country.

Every time you say, “It’s a free country” remember this: You got a number when you were born, the bank owns your shit and you better follow the rules someone else made up or you’ll be put in a cage. You know… freedom

HERO: Madeline Amy Sweeney knew the plane had been hijacked. Instead of panicking, she started gathering information. On the morning of September 11, 2001, the 35-year-old American Airlines flight attendant was working aboard Flight 11, a Boeing 767 traveling from Boston to Los Angeles. Not long after takeoff, something was terribly wrong. The cockpit stopped responding. Passengers were being attacked. Crew members were injured. The aircraft was no longer under the control of its pilots. As chaos unfolded around her, Sweeney managed to connect to an American Airlines operations center using an Airfone. On the other end was supervisor Michael Woodward. What followed would become one of the most important eyewitness accounts from inside a hijacked aircraft. Sweeney didn't waste precious moments focusing on her own fate. Instead, she began relaying information. Carefully. Clearly. Methodically. She described the men who had taken over the plane. She gave their seat assignments. She reported injuries among passengers and crew. She explained that a passenger had been stabbed. Every detail mattered. Even as she faced the reality that she might never leave the aircraft alive, she continued feeding information to authorities. According to later accounts, Woodward was struck by how calm and composed she remained. Her voice was steady. Her descriptions were precise. Then she provided information that would later prove critical to investigators. She identified Mohamed Atta as one of the hijackers and supplied details about the others involved. As Flight 11 headed toward New York City, Sweeney stayed on the line, continuing to report what she could see. At 8:46 a.m., the plane slammed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Everyone on board was killed. Sweeney was just 35 years old. The information she provided during those final minutes became some of the earliest and most valuable evidence available to investigators trying to understand what had happened. She couldn't regain control of the aircraft. She couldn't stop the hijackers. She couldn't save herself. But she could help others understand what was unfolding. And she did. Until the very end. Madeline Sweeney left behind her husband and two young children—her son, Jack, who was four, and her daughter, Anna, who was seven. They never saw her again. Yet in the face of unimaginable circumstances, she chose to remain focused, courageous, and selfless. Trapped aboard a hijacked plane with no way out, Madeline Amy Sweeney spent her final moments ensuring that the world would know exactly who had taken control of Flight 11—and what was happening inside it.

You have no idea what you just said. What are you protesting? Who are you resisting? What rights are gay people being denied? You have no idea because you, sir, are a moron. The dumbest man in the US Senate.
Pride is a protest. And joy is resistance. Honored to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony at today's terrific Boston Pride For The People celebration.

What an embarrassment
Loserville Time Machine : 38 years ago tonight, May 24, 1988, the lights went out at the old Boston Garden in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final with 3:23 left in the 2nd period between the Bruins and the Oilers The game was halted and ruled a (3-3) “tie” which didn’t count except for players stats. It is one of three ties in the 109-year NHL playoff history.

James "Rod" Brooks, a consultant hired by MBTA General Manager Phil Eng in 2023 under a no-bid contract that has been extended, has been paid more than $713,000 in public funds through January 2026 (roughly $26,000 per month), with the agreement set to continue through the end of 2026. Listed as a senior advisor on capital, operations, and safety projects such as South Coast Rail and speed restrictions, Brooks has worked almost entirely remotely from his home in South Carolina, logging less than 9% of his time in Massachusetts on average, with some months involving no visits to the state at all. @MBTA @maura_healey @MassGovernor

Two of these 11 men were my uncles, my mom’s brothers. They were executed by firing squad for opposing the new Islamic Republic regime. Their trial was only 30 minutes long. They were convicted of being “counterrevolutionary” and executed in Sanandaj. The photo took captured one of many brutal moments in Iran and won the Pulitzer Prize.
Mine was condemned to death and executed by firing squad in Tehran in 1981 for attempting to fund a coup as he opposed the religious rule and believed in the separation of church and state. The family was close to the monarchy and did everything they could to fight against the Islamic Republic. Fighters at heart, fighters forever. 🦁✊

Kamala Harris is on a book tour in Michigan today. "The auto industry is clearly moving toward electric." It didn't. Ford pulled the plug on the all-electric F-150. Stellantis posted a $26.3 billion loss due to EVs. GM is shifting production back to gas-powered vehicles.

If you have 12 minutes to kill, here's the TV copy of most of the 4th quarter of that game. Just miserable conditions. Neither offense could throw the ball. Steve Grogan was 2-5 for 13 yards. John Hannah said it was the coldest he's ever been in his life. youtu.be/-LqckfI8yg8
