I've been exploring offline-first communication with bitchat-cli, my Python CLI port of Jack Dorsey's BitChat.
It uses Bluetooth LE mesh networks to send encrypted peer-to-peer messages (text, voice or image) with no internet, cellular network, accounts, or servers required.
Best part: it's fully compatible with the official BitChat Android & iOS apps.
