Mone is such a gorgeous skater, her skating skills are so good, the spins are excellent, and she carries herself with so much elegance across the ice. Easily the best skate of the night and probably deserved to win the free (the PCS gap with Trusova should be much higher).
Trusova getting 65.89 PCS is a far more accurate than the scores she used to get, but still makes no sense. I just don’t understand how the skating skills deserve 8s. Her ability to jump is incredible, but the PCS scores are just so high for what she’s putting out there.

I returned to the national capital after 2 am and have rarely seen anything like what Delhi is witnessing now, with checkpoints every few hundred metres, concrete barriers and spike strips laid across our roads, a war-like deployment of 22,000 police and paramilitary across the city, 250 trains cancelled and 45 metro stations closed, and reports of young people being detained from their own homes and the streets in and around Delhi -- all to prevent citizens from peacefully raising questions about the integrity of our elections. Most regressive (as well as repressive) is the suspension of the internet in the heart of the national capital.
Freedom of movement stands completely shackled. Jantar Mantar was designated precisely so that citizens could voice dissent in the centre of Delhi, and today even the roads leading to it have been declared out of bounds. One is entitled to ask where this extraordinary manpower and urgency disappear when women in our capital need protection.
Those detained will hvre to be released .And if the protesters simply return on Monday, will the authorities lock down the national capital all over again? Our GenZ deserves better than an undeclared Emer-GenZ.
A government confident in the fairness of its elections would welcome questions about them, whereas one that turns its capital into a fortress to avoid them only deepens the very suspicions it seeks to suppress. The government should provide answers, not lathis; expression, not repression.
Barricades will do nothing to restore faith in the Election Commission, and the sooner it answers the public's questions, the sooner calm will be restored. The strength of a democracy is measured by how it treats those who question its working, and by that measure, what we have seen today is utterly shameful and unconscionable.

i think i saw god in that transition out of the 3Lz - genuinely one of the most stunning and difficult transitions out of a jump I’ve seen in a while executed so effortlessly.

"best 90s player" daniil medvedev belted peak djokovic in straight sets no tiebreak at a grand final to stop him from getting a calendar slam and had him crying during changeover, please be so fucking for real with me.
Mao has such floaty jumps and she has such gorgeous knee bend that she glides across the ice. her skating skills are so good and the spins were largely centred and so quick. the program is slightly junior-ish to me but it’s clearly something she feels comfortable with.
This PCS is such a joke. There is nothing in that program worthy of 8s and it’s ridiculous that we’re supposed to accept these scores as based on the program and the skate on the night. We can reward the TES without artificially inflating her (non-existent) PCS.

gorgeous 4Lz from Sasha to start but the rest of the program was unfortunately the typical trusova skating over the music. the skating skills have improved but aren’t really all that great and the interpretation didn’t really go far. dani g with another shit program as usual.
Anna is such a gorgeous skater and she fought for all the landings. the music cut makes 0 sense (more Russian program music nonsense) but she really commits to it. her fluidity and grace on the ice really makes it easy to root for her despite any limitations
watching zhilina is so tricky because her lack of skating skills and her pinpointed toes really stick out in the program. she landed everything which was good and some of the transitions out of the jumps were interesting but the lack of PCS is glaring.
chikmareva/ianchenkov have such stunning lifts and they have gorgeous fluidity across the ice. they are an exceptional team with such solid basics. i don’t love the program and i think some of it is skated through but i do think it will grow through the course of the season.
outrageous pcs - they should be getting much higher pcs for the quality of their program and their execution of it.

boikova/kozlovski are so unbelievably good and this free is an incredible vehicle for them. their lift positions are so interesting and the beginning of the program is so interestingly choreographed. they are so obviously a class above 95% of what we have seen over the last quad.
mukhortova/evgenyev seem like such a well matched team with absolutely gorgeous lines. despite the difficulties with the throws, the program has real potential to grow. the music cut is… weird but they do quite well with whatever the material is.
rio has such impressive speed across the ice, has such gorgeous knee bend and skates with real presence on the ice. he really does seem like he belongs in the upper echelons of senior men’s skating and he is going to be in every medal conversation imo irrespective of this result.
kinoshita has officially turned me into a Dikidzhinator or whatever the official term is because I have to get behind the commitment to these kooky programs and the actually really good jumps (can he please learn how to spin though)
shun’s knee bend constantly gets him out of so many tricky situations with the jumps! i think the program will grow through the season but I really hope he changes the colour of costume
Semenenko is such a typical example of a Mishin skater in all the best ways - he can jump out of his mind, has moments of random inconsistency, has weird programs that he commits 100% to, and his choreography largely consists of very fun armography. definitely a good skate today!
