I’m a Fetterman constituent. I voted for him. I help pay his salary. So here’s both truths at once. The WSJ texts show a senator dismissing paralyzed veterans, blowing off a children’s hospital (“they just want free trips to DC”), and balking at fallen officers’ funerals over drive time. He reportedly skipped 11 of 12 hearings in one stretch and had staff mark him “present” anyway. Former staffers have now launched an account promising more texts starting Sept 14. That’s not “different politics.” That’s abandoning the job. I’m angry, and I have every right to be. I’m also a nurse. His former chief of staff wrote to his own Walter Reed doctor back in 2024: “We do not know if he is taking his meds and his behavior frequently suggests he is not.” Fetterman has denied it and called it a hit piece. Auditory processing, executive function, mood — these are documented post-stroke effects, and depression after a stroke is common and treatable, not a character flaw. If he’s not compliant with treatment, that’s not defiance. It’s part of the illness. So my message to him is this: stop being a stubborn asshole, and swallow your pride. Get honest about your health, and get the care you actually need. You’re burning bridges you’ll never be able to mend. The seat isn’t worth more than your Self. Get help, man.
