ALT Resourcing Resilience Grants for Sex Workers’ Rights Activists and Defenders. Resourcing Resilience grants are for women, trans, and non-binary sex workers’ rights activists and defenders, organisations, and networks that seek to implement an initiative or respond to an unanticipated opportunity that would contribute to building their resilience and movements. This could be in the form of capacity building on digital security, cross-movement dialogues, risk assessment studies and trainings, or any other worthy initiative that helps sustain their activism, prepare for future risks, and scale their work.

ALT Resourcing Resilience Grants: A street-based transgender woman sex worker from the Pacific is a sex workers’ rights activist who is engaged in condom distribution drives, community awareness programs, and free health check-ups. She is committed to defending the rights of consenting adults for trans sex work and is burnt out due to the voluntary nature of her work. She earns less than the minimum wage and needs financial support to relocate to a bigger city and start her own handicrafts business, in addition to her sex workers’ rights activism. She applied for a Resourcing Resilience grant to UAF A&P and received funding to support her relocation to a safer city with better economic opportunities, hire a team of women for her handicrafts business, and seek psycho-social support.

ALT The image is a piece of a map created by Urgent Action Fund Asia and Pacific's titled "Map of Solidarity and Care". This map is a part of UAF A&P's Oasis of Reflection convening. The map is illustrated in greens, browns and yellows and contains text that is explained in the blog mentioned in the image caption.
