Kao incredibly moved, near tears in his eyes, set off by his epic winged guyliner. I take back everything bad I've ever said about men's figureskating

The increased prize money is still crazy low for any athletes that live in a high cost-of-living country

Mark saying during the medal ceremony the fs fandom could learn a lot about sportsmanship from the athletes. Good for him for calling that out.

Stupidest local fed Grand Prix decision: Japan having Shun and Rio face off against Ilia at NHK Runner up: US believing Alysa and Amber would be at SKAM, leaving Isabeau to face Mao twice and ending up with 3 unknown US skaters with zero shot at the podium in the lineup

As we all predicted before the season began, Kao Miura is the first man to make the Grand Prix final

Looking forward to hearing the Japanese national anthem again. And I say that solely because of the fans, not the skaters.

It turns out that the new freeskate rules are a rare good decision by the ISU

KAO!! From not making the free at worlds to triumphing against the most stacked men's GP field with the worst audience ever. Mone Chiba, you have been avenged.

Shun Sato having a bad skate that has no visible errors and no reviews just two less difficult jumps is crazy

Semenenko may be the best Russian man since Kolyada. Wow.

Vlad is an insanely talented jumper hampered by some very Russian choreography

Minkyu with one clean quad still topping the free program. PCS Goat

Misha going for the first quad-quad combination is the back half of the freeskate was insane.

Damn. When Samoilov is on, he is a threat.

Mark is the only figure skating commentator real enough to ever mention the prize money

I assume Mone and Rinka gave Kao a full beat

Nika's spiderman hoodie just looks like a training outfit which IMHO makes his program look less polished

Solo quad salchows are canceled tonight, I guess

The last time Minkyu faced off against Jacob, Lucius, Kao, Shun robot Vlad & Semenenko, he won the free. Maybe he should do that again?

Watching two very talented young skaters with the same coach makes the same mistakes back-to-back is telling me a lot
