why is there so much hate for Teams? i started using it 2 years ago, haven’t had any issues with it for video calls.
what is so bad bad about Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is one of the purest examples in tech of distribution beating product quality.
Teams is a piece-of-shit product that's better distributed than Zoom -- bundled into the enterprise stack and already sitting in front of millions of users.
What's another product this mediocre with distribution this good?

October has been an absolute nightmare for software
> Railway - customer secrets exposure
> LiteLLM - malicious PyPI + Docker releases
> Zeabur - infrastructure breached
> OpenCode - AI API keys exposed
> OVHcloud CLI - official binaries backdoored
> Rank Math PRO - malware in official plugin
> TeamUpdraft - customer data compromised
> ConnectWise - cloud backup identities compromised
> Tensorlake - npm package infected
> SubQuery - backdoored npm package
> GhostAction - GitHub repos with malicious workflows
> PHP - critical RCE vulnerabilities
> Node.js - security vulnerabilities patched
> eMudhra - certificate authority keys compromised
> Tailscale - eMudhra incident
At this point, the biggest security risk might not be the code we write, but the code we trust...
ooohhh these AI calls are getting smarter
they’ve reduced delays
added background noise
convincing conversations
one way to tell is when you talk back the background noise drops

My work as software engineer has turned into optimising agentic workflows.
Now anything I have to repeatedly tell an agent is done by another agent that has the skill and judgement call
I’ve been running a fully agentic loop for the past few days, fully hands-off shipping. Never thought I’d ever do this as an engineer who loves writing code.
But the founder (also me) decided to cut the bottleneck (also me). I don’t manually verify every PR anymore.
Fable files issues as beads and dependencies. Implementor picks up ready beads. Talks to ProductOwner/Fable confirms requirements and plan. Corrects anything, files follow-up beads.
Anything that needs my input is marked separately, and i deal with them on my time.
