And we’re off! Good luck to all students in this year’s #2024studentcharrette organised annually by @aiauk
It’s March 17 in London and I have to open all of my windows in my new build flat to stay cool.

New year, new hair! I’m fundraising for The Little Princess Trust on @JustGiving to make a wig for a child with cancer or other illnesses like alopecia. Donate now justgiving.com/page/bryans-h…
HNY! I've just donated to @LETI_UK for the great work they're doing helping people and business learn and take action on reducing carbon emissions in the ubilt environment.
Please consider donating to help them meet their funding goal.

Looking forward to joining project teams as a BREEAM AP soon! @BRE_BREEAM #sustainability
Thanks to @SustHotelNews & @BooCousins for the opportunity to wax #sustainable #hoteldesign. It is encumbant on us to #domore for the benefit of guests, staff, owners and communities.
Read @BooCousins' great Q&A with Bryan Oknyansky (@deez_i_bry), head of #sustainability @StudioMoren, about #sustainable #hoteldesign, #passivehouse and how the hotel sector can work with #architects for a more sustainable future.

After winning the 4-yr war of attrition against @LQHomesMatter to fix the solar thermal roof panel that hasn’t worked since our flats were built in 2009, my new fav thing to do is check my hw cylinder reach high temps throughout the day, without firing up the boiler. #renewables
Great, sunny Day 1 at @FootprintPlus with my colleague @FarranKeenan. It’s refreshing to see more public and private players doing more to #decarbonise the #builtenvironment. It is clear we are firmly in a #carbon-centric #dataanalytics era of design, construction…1/x
and the economics and costs of meeting the challenge are still largely theoretical, but the hall was full of people intent on playing their part. Sustainability #champions are needed more than they know! 3/x
Lovely to see familiar faces and make new connections across the industry.
My colleague Elvira Salyahetdinova will be around for Days 2 & 3.

Had a great time extolling the necessity to design low energy buildings whether it’s for #architecture with a little “a” or big “A” and the work we’re doing towards this at @StudioMoren live on the #netzero stage at #DCW2023

More and more people are getting a grip on the concepts of reducing operational carbon a la “net zero”, but @lordtev says the circular economy will become more front and centre as a UK economic strategy very soon - retain more, recycle more, source locally, lower embodied carbon
There is political will to change says Lord Robin Teverson, Environment Spokesperson, House of Lords. By 2035, the UK's goal is to fully decarbonise the grid. The political challenge is the (non)commercial buildings, which have the worst #energy efficiency in the EU. #eeasummit23
Fancy @LQHomesMatter ignoring strucutral roof damage for over 3 years and finally sending an engineer, but didn't sort out roof access. Easily done? #abolishLandQ #sharedownership @luhc The engineer will be paid, and the residents will be charged, and nothing will have been fixed
